Attorney Orly Taitz, a national figure in the birther movement and lawyer for an Army captain who sought to stop her deployment to Iraq on arguments that President Barack Obama cant legitimately hold office, has filed a motion to withdraw as the captains lawyer.
Taitz, who represents Capt. Connie Rhodes, filed her latest motion Saturday. It cites two court documents as reasons for withdrawing from the case a Sept. 18 order from U.S. District Court Judge Clay Land threatening $10,000 in sanctions against Taitz and a letter purportedly signed by Connie Rhodes, which asks for Taitz to be removed as her attorney.
In order to defend herself, the undersigned counsel will have to contest and potentially appeal any sanctions order in her own name alone, separately from the plaintiff, by offering and divulging what would normally constitute inadmissible and privileged attorney-client communications, Taitz states. The undersigned attorney will also offer evidence and call witnesses whose testimony will be adverse to her (former) clients most recently stated position in this case.
It appears, however, that Taitz didnt sign her motion. Court records filed Monday state that the motion must be filed again because Taitz didnt sign it.
At least she's consistent.
A lot of hard work went into trying to establish that the Rhodes fax was fake.
It is code. Real conservatives posting here know what it means. Obots do not. It is like “hugh & series.” You must be new.
Leo and Terri K are making progress and Gary Kreep still has the case with Judge Carter unless Orly screws that up.
Authentic Birther gibberish is more likely.
She forgot to sign it? Ugh. She’s incompetent.
She does have a team helping her, I’ve read that in a previous article. The buck stops with her, and I’ve bit my tongue about my criticisms of her mistakes. Anyone with legal training (the team that’s helping her) would know to check for signatures etc.. The whole thing is weird.
Regardless, I want to know why obama is spending so much $$$...and what’s he got to hide.
I'm stuned. Just stuned.
Sure, MSNBC and the RINOS and FR trolls have sopken!
Meanwhile, Lawyers are lining up in droves to defend the US Constitution.../s

There has to be a way for a lawyer to defend themselves against a charge of error by their client.
I presume this hearing would be in closed quarters, before the judge, who would also keep confidentiality.
In my opinion, a lot of hard work DIDN’T go into it — instead, it seemed people who had seen the results of previous hard work, tried to mimic the same result without really understanding what they were doing.
Thus apparently “debunking” a real document.
I say “apparently” because this article actually uses the words “purportedly signed”, which suggests the issue is not resolved.
She sure acts like a plant.
It would be nice if an actual competent lawyer would lead the charge on this.
We can’t fire her. We didn’t hire her. All I can do is wish her success at exposing the boy marxist.
Why has she tolerated this motley crew so hell bent on undermining her, if indeed it is. If it were earlier in the game she might be able to fire the lot and start fresh. But she has, sadly, now jumped too many sharks. “With friends like this who needs enemies.”
No we didn’t, but somebody competent could step in and actually do what she was carelessly messing around with.
She looks, sadly, like a plant now.
Buck stops with her. Figures. Russian/Chechens are often “know it alls” who are very stubborn. She has not practiced in a courtroom and seems to enjoy TV cameras and running around playing the victim.
Maybe Gary Kreep will do better in the Judge Carter case. Leo and TerriK are also making progress.
That’s like waiting for Republicans to lead the charge the charge. Your great grandkids will die of old age first.
Yeah, There’s a few plants around here as well. Some of them call themselves freepers.. LMAO
