A 33-year old man from Malmö has been sentenced to ten years in prison by a US court for sexually assaulting a 16-year-old he met online.
The man travelled to the city of Corpus Christi in Texas in October 2008 and was arrested ten days later by police in a hotel room.
The girl, who had ran away from home, was found in the room partially clothed. Hotel personnel raised the alarm after recognising the girl from a missing persons poster.
According to Texas law, the age of consent is 17 years old. The Swede pleaded guilty on eight counts of sexual assault of a child, according to local newspaper Caller-Times.
"Each second-degree felony count was punishable by as many as 20 years in prison and as much as a $10,000 fine," stated the newspaper's website.
"As part of a plea deal, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison on each count. The sentences will run at the same time."
The Swede will be deported from the country after serving his sentence.
In Austria it’s 14.
In Italy it’s 13 (if the partner is less than 3 years older).
In Arizona 18,
In the province of Mexico City (La Ciudad de México/Distrito Federal) 12.
Perhaps it would be a rather good idea if all parts of the world would agree on a common “limit”?
Meh. What’s the proper pronunciation for Malmö, anyway? I always figured it was Maal-moh.
12 in Mexico? hard to believe. Mexcians in Mexico are very protective of their daughters/sisters — all the other Latin Americans comment about it.
Malmo? There are a lot of Muslims in Malmo.
You know, “mal” as in malpractice reform and “mo” as in Larry, Curly, and Moe.
Johnny Jakobsen, looks like a real winner.
Well, I hope he does his ten years peacefully.
Also hope that the Mexican gang members don't stab him too much.
If other behavior is relevant, the age of consent in the US should be 30.
“Meh. Whats the proper pronunciation for Malmö, anyway? I always figured it was Maal-moh.”
- “Ö” is pronounced somewhat like “Ea” in “Earn”, wether we’re talking Swedish, German or Hungarian.
Screw the rest of the world & what they do. Part of our problem is following them. Screw em. Literally !!
“Malmo? There are a lot of Muslims in Malmo.”
- In your mind as well as those of most Muslims, Malmö and all of Skåne/Scania (southernmost part of Sweden) is already a part of the Muslim world.
This is Skåne of today:

I noticed the Corpus Christi Caller Times (A liberal Rag) did not post the name of the perp!
This guy traveled across the Atlantic for illicit sex? Couldn’t he just drive to the red light districts in Hamburg or Amsterdam?
Bizarre.
Johnny Jakobsen
OOPs That is a Swede
“This guy traveled across the Atlantic for illicit sex? Couldnt he just drive to the red light districts in Hamburg or Amsterdam?”
- The red light districts of Hamburg are a joke to what they used to be.
I never experienced them myself (I’m only 40), but I’ve understood that during the early 1960’s, when the Beatles used to entertain drunken seamen at rough, shabby bars along the legendary Reeperbahn in the St. Pauli district of the city, whatever you were looking for was for was just an issue of price.
Back to reality. Recently, while enjoying a nice Holstein holiday, I went on a small excursion to this part of Hamburg to check what it was like today.
I might just as well have visited IKEA in Wendlohe..
“Johnny Jakobsen, looks like a real winner.”
- I don’t wish to defend his actions, but he looks about as cool as you would after finding out you’ll probably spend the next ten years in jail.
I’ve seen lot’s better mug shots, in fact I’ve taken better. (From the right side of the camera). ;)

- :D
I believe you.
On the other hand, even a rather pretty person like Heather Locklear looks like having trifle of a “bad hair day” on her mug shot:)
Skål/Cheers and Regards from Gothenburg, Sweden!
Is this because so many Mexican males try to bang 10 year olds?
