Seems Johnny-boy was right... there ARE "two Americas". In the America that you and I live in, the wife would put his butt in the street. But in the Edward's America, the wife is just as guilty by being complicit in covering up her husband's indiscretions, but by also using the unfortunate circumstance of her cancer as a smokescreen as a means to do so.
Elizabeth knew all along what a scuz-bag John is. Her opportunity to become First Lady was more important to her than any ethics, morals, or life lessons that she could have passed on to her children in her remaining time with them. (IF she is really even sick. I believe NOTHING these people say anymore!)
