Wonder if Beck took the time at this event to explain his off the wall rhetoric concerning his belief that McCain-Palin would have been worse for America than Obama-Biden. So far, Beck's explanations have been nothing but empty headed BS. Pure sophistry.

The idea that Beck can believe a Black Marxist is better than McCain and a hardcore liberal like “Plugs” Biden offers a better leadership alternative than traditionalist and conservative Sarah Palin, borders on irrational thought.

It has been PAINFUL to watch Beck try to defend the indefensible and I like Glenn Beck.

RM, I don’t think there’s much of anything pure about Beck. Right off hand, probably doesn’t know shat sophistry is, (right off hand I don’t know what sophistry is). Mc and any one is a team of question at best, but as time is proving none could top what we have for lack of sophistry.

Any how, the man is out front and beating the bushes and has pulled some of the heat off Rush, did I miss anything, probably. Lets hold back support till we have some one purely perfect, what?

I understood his explanation and agree with him. McCain would have folded at every bill in the name of bipartisanship at which point who would get the blame when it all fell down? The GOP and that would have cemented socialism for all time. McCain believes or agrees with about 75% of what Obama is doing. And, the GOP members of Congress, like they did with Bush, would have simply followed the "leader".

With Obama the curtains have been opened wide on the socialism and corruption of DC.

As for Palin what power would she have had as VP? She couldn't sway any votes or even propose any legislation. Sure, she could speak out if McCain didn't send her to Togo every week for a visit. But, other than speak out and reveal the weakness of the GOP what effect would having her as VP ever have?

‘So far, Beck’s explanations have been nothing but empty headed BS. Pure sophistry.’

Beck explained that having McCain in the WH wouldn’t have inspired the grass-roots , tea party uprisings in this country that Nobama has insipired. For the type of change that Beck has been speaking about, Nobama is a better candidate to piss off more people than McCain would have been. That was his intent behind his statement, and while he could have explained it a little better when he said it, his reasoning makes sense.

First, don't misrepresent what Beck said. He didn't say that McCain-Palin would be worse for American than Obama-Biden. He said a McCain presidency would be worse for America than the Obama presidency.

His case is basically that many McCain policies are the same as Obama policies. Since McCain is a Republican, he could get these policies passed by splitting the GOP.

Obama has united the GOP against his policies. McCain would have split the GOP, as Obama as split the Democrats.

In any case, Beck has expressed his opinion. Why Republicans are jumping down his throat is beyond me? Why even get upset?

McCain has not — nor will not now support Conservatives any more than Obama has...

Sad truth...

Yeah, I know what he was “trying” to say...and in theory there is some truth in it, but in reality (where we live) The Marxist Hussein is doing irreversable harm that can only be undone by some very ugly future events.
