BIG CREEK, Ky. (AP) - A part-time census worker found hanging in a rural Kentucky cemetery was naked, gagged and had his hands and feet bound with duct tape, said an Ohio man who discovered the body two weeks ago.

Jerry Weaver of Fairfield, Ohio, told The Associated Press on Friday that he was among a group of relatives who discovered the body of 51-year-old Bill Sparkman on Sept. 12.

"The only thing he had on was a pair of socks," Weaver said. "And they had duct-taped his hands, his wrists. He had duct tape over his eyes, and they gagged him with a red rag or something.

..."A census taker got too inquizative with his questions and some KY hill william took offense...."

Maybe it wasn't the census taker but the census questions themselves that were too inquisitive. (Maybe Acorn should be blamed for this death)

The victim had their Census ID badge taped to their neck, and the word “fed” written on their chest in felt-tip pen. How long do you think it will take the media to try and pin this on “right wing extremist antigovernment teabaggers”?

Typing this post, I'm sure they already have. The first casualty in war is the truth.

Do you know where the term Redneck comes from? And yes, the mountain dew is just fine ever since we quit running it through truck radiators.<p.
Do you know what was the first flag raised over Shuri Castle after one of the bloodiest battles in modern US history?

Organized drug producers would have made the guy just disappear. The last thing they want is federal law enforcement snooping around. This was done by somebody who wanted the body to be found

A counter argument I read on Democratic Undereground (don't judge me): If he simply disppears there is an extensive county-wide search: If found with misleading clues, the investigation is concentrated in one area the drug operators can avoid.

Okay....this happened in “Big Creek, KY” ‘nuf said!

Hey, morgana check out these definitions. Notice how often the words 'bigot', 'predjudiced', 'narrow-minded' shows up. Not much difference between your post and rednecks after all.
redneck
–noun
1. an uneducated white farm laborer, esp. from the South.
2. a bigot or reactionary (it can't be this one 'cause thats you!), esp. from the rural working class.
–adjective
3. Also, red-necked. narrow, prejudiced, or reactionary: a redneck attitude.
n. Offensive Slang
1. Used as a disparaging term for a member of the white rural laboring class, especially in the southern United States.
2. A white person regarded as having a provincial, conservative, often bigoted attitude.
A slang term, usually for a rural white southerner who is politically conservative, racist, and a religious fundamentalist (see fundamentalism). This term is generally considered offensive. It originated in reference to agricultural workers, alluding to how the back of a person's neck will be burned by the sun if he works long hours in the fields.
redneck
1. n.
a stereotypic southern bigot. (Derogatory. Also a term of address.) : Look, you stupid redneck, try to understand.
2. mod.
in the manner of a southern bigot. : I don't follow that kind of redneck thinking.

So the DUmmies aren’t blaming it on right wingers? Shocking. As for the premise. Anything is possible. It could be as simple as the drug dealers did kill him, but as was suggested earlier, they are not just evil, but stupid. Which is preferrably how we would want evil people to be. Let’s just hope they are found and dealt with.

I’m thinking that maybe this guy was an informant for the FBI. It almost seems as though somebody was trying to send a message with this crime. Putting the body on public display, the word FED written on his chest and the brutality of the crime makes it look like it was meant to intimidate someone.

I have greeted folks at my place in NY with a shotgun. Never know who is coming to call, up in the mountains. Best to be safe.

LOL. That is too funny. You ever go to the Milton Opry? My hubby’s band played there way back in early 80s while we still lived in Ala. Our son was about 10 at the time and played fiddle in the band. 25 years later son played there with his own band from Mason Co. It was surreal in a way to see him there after so many years. He has played there several times since we moved to WV. Sorry you mentioned Milton now?

I never had a problem with the Census until back in the 80s, don’t remember what year, the guy that came to our house then kept contacting us and bringing his wife by wanting to meet with us about their ‘new business’ in which we could take part and make a ‘lot of money’. Similar to an Amway business. I thought it was totally wrong of them to use the information they obtained as Census workers for their own private business and to keep contacting us. I did make some calls but never really got anywhere, it was like whomever I talked to didn’t really understand the problem. Perhaps it was an ACORN worker I was talking to each time???

I had this real pushy old bat come by about 4 or 5 years ago. Her delivery was so abrasive she made the already prying questions very hard to cooperate with.

I cut her short saying I was real busy, closed the door on her. She came back many times. I never answered the door. She then called in the evenings, threatening to “talk to my neighbors”, saying she’d “find out one way or another”. After complaining about her to her office, her boss arranged a call where I’d answer a few quick questions. I think it was about 5.

So, if the victim of this crime was half the PITA this old battle axe was, I don’t condone murder, but I understand.
