I agree with that completely. It was like a Spring Break. A lot of build-up, then the party, then the hangover, and then the long drive home.
Yup, something bright and shiny distracted them, although perhaps these kids understand debt and have heard that Their Kenyan just maxed their card for life and there's nothing left except payments.
