I was VERY pleasantly surprised to see
so many young people taking part in the 9/12 March on DC. Just one example of many:

If it doesn’t involve hating Republicans...they want no part of it.

Obama will throw our money to them during the year preceding the election and they will jump back in line...... unless we are involved in a civil war.

What should we expect from a country full of ADHD dummies with the attention span of a gnat who are more concerned with American Idol and this useless idiot than they are about the cadre of Chicago Marxists stealing their futures.

I’m two years out of college, working in Crook County, 20-25 miles outside Chicago.
Half the guys I work with are city boys who live downtown (commuting an hour+ both directions). They were raised in a bubble and as a result are good little champagne socialists and citizens of the world.
Everything is ill/sick/tight (yo dog!), they argue over celebrity gossip, and talk about politicians with glowing admiration as if they were honest accomplished individuals. They won’t losing their giddiness over the Prom Queen in chief any time soon.

I do think that only veterans or people who actually pay INCOME TAX should be eligible to vote. Needs some skin in the game.

I do notice my liberal nephews and nieces are quieter these days.
I've noticed that all the libs I know are quieter now.

I saw a poll recently where it showed the breakdown of Zero’s job approval numbers by political party. For months, the dems have had his approval numbers in the 80-90 percentile range, as high as 96% of dems approving of his performance. The republicans have typically scored him in the teens, mostly 16-18% IIRC. The independents have been in the middle. Mostly upper 40% to mid-50% range with dipping numbers more recently.
Obamamania has cooled everywhere except on the left and he’s on track to losing badly in 2012.

If ignorance was a disqualifier for voting for president the Dem turnout would be at least 75% less.

Raise the voting age to 21, and add that you had to pay income tax in the prior year. I wish we can amend the Constitution as you are suggesting. For certain it will bring the end of liberalism as a political power in America. On the tax issue, retired people and people who lost their jobs are exempted and can still vote.
