That's a good way of putting it.
One thing you have to say about American politics is that it is highly entertaining. In how many other countries could this pimp/ho/Acorn thing have happened? The plot twist with the good guys outfoxing the bad guys in a way that is just plain hilarious and clever -- I don't know, it just seems very American.

I know what side they are on, their own. Whatever benefits them personally, adds to their power or their personal wealth is good. They have become independent businessmen living on handouts, not our representatives.
