Huh? When I and other reporters pressed him afterward to clarify ...

Another grammatically challenged "journalist".

That's because Deeds is willing to raise taxes for transportation, while McDonnell isn't, and some kind of tax increase is the only way to do the job.

When they start their "news" with a fraudulent premise, there is no need to bother reading any additional propaganda.

Yes, WP, there are LOTS of other alternatives to raising taxes. For example, realizing roads are a core responsibility, the State of VA could cut OTHER, non- essential spending (i.e. mass transit schemes, pay-hikes and bonuses for govt bureaucrats, new hiring plans etc) to free up funds for what the Sate is SUPPOSE to do at the expense of what politicians WANT to do.

Translation: “If Deeds would just come out and say he will raise taxes, we will stop at nothing to support him and demonize McConnell. He’s just not giving us anything to work with right now.”

Yes, raising taxes is the ONLY solution. What a moron (the “journalist,” not freeper St. Louis Conservative).

It's too bad, because as governor Deeds would be more likely to actually fix the roads than his Republican opponent, former attorney general Robert F. McDonnell

Except that McDonnell actually has a PLAN to fix transportation, while Deeds does NOT have a plan.

And McDonnell has a plan for how to handle the money without raising taxes as well. Deeds does not, because Deeds does not have a plan.
