SNIPPET: “A Queens imam pleaded not guilty Monday to charges he lied to the FBI about tipping off would-be terrorist Najibullah Zazi that cops were on his tail.
Authorities say they intercepted a call from the imam, Ahma Wais Afzali, to Zazi in early September in which the cleric told Zazi an NYPD detective had come into a mosque asking questions about him.
Authorities believe Zazi was conspiring with others to detonate home-made bombs in the New York City subway system.”
