Greene County (Missouri) prosecutors have charged a 61-year-old man with felony unlawful use of a weapon, after the man fired his handgun while chasing a suspected purse snatcher.

"Webbs pursuit, which reached speeds up to 80 miles an hour, ended on a parking lot of a motel near Battlefield and Moulder. During the pursuit, Webb fired at the vehicle with a 9mm handgun on or near the lots of two motels in the area of Battlefield and Moulder."
Webb has a carry-and-conceal permit for the handgun. He's free on $2,500 bond.
the 'stuff' is only as precious as what we traded for it [time]...
the opportunity to share those minutes with family/kids shouldnt be litely squandered on things easily stolen by other men [gov incl]...
priorities of value...if you take somethin from me that 'cost' me a weekend with my kids, you better be prepared to die for it...yeah Im that selfish...
“...accept that law enforcement on a whole scale is not generally a friend anymore...”
They stopped being “a friend” the day they stopped calling themselves “Peace Officers” and became “Law ENFORCEMENT!!!!!!!!! (By Golly!) Officers” and dressing in black paramilitary BDUs, combat boots, wearing masks to obscure their faces, and carrying automatic weapons as a matter of course.
I think we are all keenly aware of just what they are capable of under the guise of “just following orders”. After Waco and Ruby Ridge, I will NEVER see them as friends again. There are good ones, to be sure, who “get it” - I know quite a few - and I hope to God above that IF “the Day” ever comes, they will stand with the Citizenry and do the right thing.
As for the car-chase/shooting would-be hero: He UNDERSTANDS that Citizens have responsibilities and seems to have instinctively acted on it, but he should also should have understood that THIS society no longer protects nor values it’s Citizens. Instead, it now glorifies and protects the thug, the gangsta, the pervert, and the violent sociopath. THEY have more worth than Citizens do; indeed, capitalist Citizens and their bourgeois middle class society MADE them that way, after all, dontcha’ know...
On the other hand, if WE as Citizens do nothing, THEY win...and we watch everything that we and our families and ancestors fought, bled and died for simply fade away...
Not on my watch.
My biggest concern is that he COULD have hit innocent folks with his fire, however good a shot he deems himself to be. A richochette, a kid in the way, etc., etc., you know the drill...Front page news - “crazed gun-toting right-wing vigilante kills child!”
This is the world we live in, folks...sad, sick, and pathetic.
Agree with Vader’s comment - valiant intent, poor judgement...too bad the purse snatch VICTIM wasn’t carrying. She’s the one who REALLY needs to worry now, especially if the Perp has her address and keys and she has family at home.
excellent as usual haledude...
Just pathetically redundant anymore; don’t even know if does any good to even bother blogging...
Ridiculous world...the freaks are in control, slinging sh*t everywhere like little insane chimpanzees, and we get to sit on the sidelines and hope that none of it hits us or our families; and if it DOES hit us, we have to worry about what happens when we hit back - or even try to scrape it off...
Getting tired of it. Mighty tired.
Hale’s not in a good mood at all these days...
