ABC News Was Misquoted on Crowd Size
ABC News Reported D.C. Rally Size in Tens of Thousands, Not 1M to 1.5M as Activist Said.
Conservative activists, who organized a march on the U.S. Capitol today in protest of the Obama administration's health care agenda and government spending, erroneously attributed reports on the size of the crowds to ABC News.
Matt Kibbe, president of FreedomWorks, the group that organized the event, said on stage at the rally that ABC News was reporting that 1 million to 1.5 million people were in attendance.
At no time did ABC News, or its affiliates, report a number anywhere near as large.

Thanks for all the great photos!
God Bless all the Patriots who attended!
Wish I could have been there!
and here is the clincher.....for every person that was there, there are at least 15 more who, like myself, could not be there but wanted to be...i believe when ww2 started, there were less than 10 million men in uniform for all countries involved ( talking about 1938 )...the rest can be figured out by fubo and his staff.......
Let’s ask jeffers. He might know.Jeffers how would we get a good count from yesterday’s tea pary in Washington?Any ideas. Thanks ,Fatima

As usual, we must go to the foreign press to find out what is going on in USA....
Fox reported sixty thousand. I don’t know if they retracted that count later as I had to leave.
There’s a couple of ways I’ve thought of since this question came up. One uses imagery analysis, the other population density.
In the long view of the rally, you can enlarge a small section closer to the camera, physically count the people in that area, and then use a map to estimate the physical size of that area, for example half the street in width, one quarter of one block long, X people. Then use the map to find the areal multiplier, and you’ll get a rough estimate of the number on the street.
Vanishing point geometry means you don’t want to overlay the sample area on the images to get an estimate, since the area would appear progressively smaller with distance from the camera viewpoint.
The other method requires past studies of crowd density at similar events, time the physical area of the total event to arrive at the number.
I’m not sure the payoff will be worth the effort, in either event. Liberals are liberals precisely because they lack the mental discipline to complete the difficult tasks, then spend the rest of their lives denying reality and logic in order to deny or excuse their perceived weakness, to themselves. It is an exercise in self delusion that allows them to escape the consequences of their own lack of self discipline.
They won’t believe you, no matter what your proof.
But they saw the images, same as you and they know that for every person there, there are 1000 who wanted to be there but could not.
They know we are going to vote in 2010, they know we are the engine that provides the wealth they covet, and in many instances of extreme weaknesses, require to survive, and they know that that huge mass of angry people are the only reason gun store shelves have been sold-out, empty for over a year now.
Any number you provide gives them an out, an escape from what their own eyes saw, a way for them to deny to themselves what they saw, and to avoid the clear implications that we have had enough, have drawn our lines of battle and are ready to do whatever it takes to defend and protect the US Constitution.
Here's a shot that shows the HUGE crowd. Not an aerial but from a high rise.
Terrified.
They "misunderestimated" us and the power of freedom.
Now, they're not quite sure what to do.
Those photos speak more than 1,000 words, don't they?
Great slide show, BufordP. Can’t wait to do it again soon. Sorry we missed you guys there though, but it was an awesome day. Do you have any pics of your groups signs and/or banners? I’d love to see them.
The really won’t like the next march. ;)
Just got back from the last of the convention events. Thanks for posting. Just what I was looking for.
I’m probably going to get in trouble but I’m going to email this to my Lions Club email list.
[Mr] T
Amen on that Jeffers.I think they know they are up a creek and no way they can paddle back. Thanks for your help:)(((((Hugs))))))
The oval ring in front of the captiol was populated by the protestors yesterday, unlike the promise keepers march.
Mrs T should have pics up some time later today or tomorrow. They just got back from the FR convention held in Arlington.
Buford, was that your Erkle poster? I saw it - OMG, but didn’t see you, lol.
The NY Post probably wasn’t there, and they probably haven’t seen the pictures on this thread. There was a massive crowd there.
