No links found yet between her and Obama/Jarrett/Whitaker/Axelrod.
You can bet she didn’t get her job or keep it without cooperating with the “powers that be”.
Overdose of Aspirin (salicylate poisoning) is common....mostly in young children who like the taste of Baby Bayor Orange Flavored aspirin. The thing which strikes me is the quickness of his death. There are several stages of salicylate toxicity. It begins with tinnitiis, vomiting, thirst, and diaphoresis.
As the levels build up in the bloodstream the patient begins to breath very fast (tachypnea) leading to a respiratory alkalosis which is the result of the drugs’ stimulation of the central nervous system. The third phase, which is the time during which one, untreated, dies, is characterized by a metabolic alkalosis. During the phase of metabolic acidosis one may fall prey to a hypokalemic (low potassium) level and then to a cardic dysrhythmia incompatible with life.
I say all of this to say, once a person is in a profound metabolic acidosis, they usually are not explaining what transpired during their day.
He would have had to take in excess of 20 grams of salicylate.
My question is.....”With this man talking to the police, even if obtunded, it seems very, very reasonable to believe he could have been take to the nearest medical facility for treatment, which is fairly standard ER/Internal Medicine fare. How could he have been conscious, speaking, and lucid and once he told them he OD’d of aspirin and then not rushed to the ER. Something is fishy.

Mayor backs away from statement on possible ‘overdose’
September 13, 2009 21:10 EDT
CHICAGO (AP) — A mayor in suburban Chicago is backing off his statement about the death of the former chief fundraiser for ousted Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.
Dwight Welch said earlier it was his understanding that Christopher Kelly told police he’d taken “an overdose of something.” Welch now says he’s not “confirming or denying” that report.
Welch is mayor of Country Club Hills, where Kelly was found slumped over his vehicle’s steering wheel. Welch says a number of drugs were found in the former fundraiser’s Cadillac Escalade, but declined to say which drugs.
He says the investigation is being treated as a possible suicide.
Meanwhile, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office has performed an autopsy on Kelly. But it says it can’t determine the cause of death until toxicology tests are completed in 3-6 weeks.(end)
Getting stranger by the minute. Please ping me to anything you find.
Thanks for the ping. I saw that excellent observation by TS and it’s a good one. Things are not adding up in this case..AT ALL! He was also taken to the second hospital in a ‘private ambulance’ according to a question raised by a reporter at the presser. Who owned the ‘private’ ambulance service? How was he treated at the first hospital? Was his stomach pumped and was he given the charcoal there? If he had done all the vomitting at the lumber/storage yard(where it’s reported he may have had stuff stored)...he would have been going into the later stages of toxicity and hardly able to breathe...much less sit up and talk to police.

Christopher Kelly, a key figure in the federal corruption investigation of former Gov. Rod Blagojevich, is dead, sources said.
Christopher Kelly, 51, of Burr Ridge, was once the master of Blagojevichs lucrative campaign fund and the go-to guy in the ex-governors administration.
Just days ago, after pleading guilty to being involved in an illegal kickback scheme involving OHare Airport and his company, BCI Commercial Roofing, Inc., Kelly said he was under pressure from federal prosecutors to cooperate in their corruption probe of Blagojevich.

one of the early press reports on this thread said the first hospital did not have a Trauma Center (as reason he was moved by “private” ambulance)
I asked that question too. Is that ever typical? to be moved by private ambulance?
I caught a virus digging in the Chicago sewers today; just getting back up.
It’s not out of the norm for a smaller hospital
not to have an accredited trauma unit, and
private ambulance services are contracted
for transport by hospitals, depending on their
policies (and politics). I’m questioning that
option over an emergency medical chopper ride
to the trauma center, given the seriousness of
his condition.
Why would he need a trauma center? Please read Texas Songwriter’s post here:

He is a doctor and has some excellent observations.
Read the CNN article above. New details.
25 miles to the other hospital. I am just getting back to this story, & I have a lot to catch up on, but nothing holds together very well.
He threw up in parking lot; arrived at hospital at 11:15; needed a trauma center, but didn’t get there for 6 hrs? and if he suddenly needed a trauma center in the morning, their notion of urgent care is to see he gets into qualified hands in about 45min to an hour?
Lie with impunity; people shake their head & move on.
Did you see my 2 previous posts about family discovered him at 7:00am. I saw that yesterday, but the article had already been changed.
It is unsettling to me the way these major papers just go into a posted article and add a little, subtract a little, change facts...with no record the original was one way, rather than the other.
I find it exceptionally interesting that Blago is doing wall to wall TV interviews. He supposedly sent an e-mail at 3:00am the morning of the death to cancel an interview on Fox and Friends? Very suspect if you ask me.
Thanks for the link.
Now the mayor is backing off the claim that Kelly was trying to commit suicide. This report by CNN does not represent the press conference very well at all. The mayor said that Kelly was sitting up talking to the police..nothing about him being ‘very ill’. He was reportedly stabilized. Read the link to what a FReeper doctor has to say:

What a tangled mess the Chicago Machine(and press) is trying to create around this incident! It’s hard to believe any of them.
Strange, isn’t it?
That was the initial report, that he was found at home.
Excellent, texas.
I was merely responding to the situation
being described in the reporting as fact
that he did need a trauma center, but
Dr. Tex could be on the right track.
The outrageous idiocy of this grade D,
hotshot mayor aside, we don’t have all
the medical facts, and we may never get
the whole story, seeing the principals
involved.
But the compounding issue to me is his
alleged recent surgery — could’ve been any
number of things, from hemorrhoids to some
kind of growth removal, point being that
he could’ve already been subject to bleeding
from that, then he’s likely taken a pain med,
which has a side effect of bleeding ... and if
he was intending to kill himself, took a lot
of them and had vomited profusely ..
The surgery is a notable factor right there to
me, excluding any skullduggery from another
person/persons.
Internal bleeding could’ve been happening with
his existing condition and the pain meds, and Dr.
Tex is right .. unless it was so severe as to be
considered life or death, the admitting hospital
should’ve been able to handle it.
But if they saw he needed emergency surgery and
had no trauma surgeon on staff or on call who
could get there quick enough, and his condition
was worse than they were aware .. maybe he
concealed some other junk he took because he did
prefer dying to jail and humiliation, I can see
the transfer.
My son’s an ER doc at a hospital that’s not
a trauma center, and he regularly will transfer
patients who are more seriously ill than they’re
equipped and staffed to handle. The life/death
cases are choppered out.
We just don’t have all the info yet .. except that
the mayor is unfit for that office, and a man
who apparently wanted to die .. who created a
hellish situation for himself and who admitted
days earlier that he knew his life was over ..
is dead.
I do not know of the surgical capability of Oak Forrest Hospital, but it being a suburb of Chicago, I would predict is had the ability ot perform basic abdominal and thoracic surgical proceedures. In either case, we have no reason to believe he needed surgery. The treatment for salicylate poisoning is medical, not surgical.
Thanks for your detailed input. I wonder
how much will ever get released.
The most provactive thing to me of the entire pressor is how the Mayor was letting the hounds of hell (media) in on enough to go investigate Flores. It is clear he is wanting to implicate Flores. He said, "We found her wallet in the Escalade". Well, she drove him to the first ER did she not? In a perceived emergency it is reasonable to believe someone might do just that. He brought it up twice. And if I were Flores, I would be lawyered up playing with these thugs in Chicago. Clearly she perceived what I believe is correct, that the police ( Mayor ) is going after her.
