IMHO the stupid people are the ones who keep lamely repeating commonplace racial insights such as:
1. Black people were called "negroes" in 1961.
2. Some people born in Africa are white so no one would ever have referred to someones race as "African".
If I were an "Obamabot" I would not be arguing that Obama should turn over his long form BC.
The truth is certainly better than blindly insisting that nationality equals race.
