I completely agree with the statement you’ve made here. I passed along a link to the CFP story regarding the certificates of nomination on Facebook, and included a blurb about Orly being granted IMMEDIATE discovery and such. Then I had to go figure out how to delete my link over on Facebook after I read the actual documents. Orly needs to assign ONE person to be a spokesperson for her legal team now... And, she needs to do so post haste. Perhaps the lawyers now helping her (finally) will suggest this to her as well.
A media director would be a VERY good thing to have now, too — someone needs to be making phone calls to the media. They definitely aren’t going to come to HER, and in all likelihood, those responsible for retaining guests and such have no clue this is even going on. Note: it needs to be a PROFESSIONAL - someone with contacts, and someone who KNOWS what is required to get these things lined up... While many may write to various programs and such, it is a media director’s responsibility to cultivate a relationship with different outlets and those producers who line up guests. Emails and phone calls from listeners most times will NOT help in this regard.
I just found your reply, sorry ... I have to agree with your suggestions .. ONE spokesman who knows who to talk to and knows what s/he is saying. As it is, it is totally out of control and reached embarassment stage. And that is not good!
