I had just dropped Mr.FF’s car off for service the morning of 9/11/01. A friend met me and drove me home. For some reason I didn’t put on either radio or tv.

Then around 9:30am my mom called, asking if I had the tv on. She told me to put on any news channel to see the WTC.

When I did I saw the Pentagon. She said “no, no, it’s the trade center.” So told her Mom, I know what the Pentagon looks like and I’m looking at it on fire.

I will never forget standing in front of the tv with my hands over my mouth after the towers fell. I was home alone that morning, and for literally a half hour I stood there like that, completely unable to move. Looking back, I really think I was in shock. I know I could not process it all.

We were ALL affected.

My husband was working in Florida and had just returned the day before from Long Island where he was visiting his folks. He had planned to come back to Texas (where we live) on that Wednesday.

He got out of NY but wasn’t able to come home for over a week, if I recall correctly.

I was at work....someone ran and told me about the first plane....I ran to see the TV...saw the second jet hit...and my knees buckled...and I remember saying...”We are at war”......When the Pentagon was hit...I ran through the mental picture of my military “GO” bag........

at PST here, was getting ready for work had on FOX and saw the report live on the first bldg, I saw live when the second plane banked and went into tower two.
I sat there frozen.

Watched the people running down the street, and saw live people jumping and the towers fall.

It is like yesterday.

I had that day just gotten into work after mailing some letters from both my mother and I. Just called my mother to let her know, she told me a plane hit the first tower of the WTC Towers. She thought it was a movie. I thought it was an accident. When the second plane hit the second tower, I knew it was no accident.

Great One has this in spades. Judicial Tyranny and what I call “Amendment Abuse” is pervasive. Fortunately, it has no real Grand Design.

I think if the Imbecile in Chief wants a National Day of Service..perhaps it is time Washington have a day to remember just exactly WHOM they are there to serve!!!!!!!

Thanks Fuddie, he has so many baby pictures with red white and blue outfits, people bought him American flag outfits, remember when everyone had a flag on their car, I miss that.

After it finished, I noticed that “related” videos included some from the 9/11 “truthers.” What a bunch of nut cases. But in one instance I’m glad they’re certifiable as Van Jones association with them brought him down!

SR Jeff, UPS teamster health insurance is a gold plated Cadillac program. If you can hack the lifting and loading, you are rewarded. They will paid you 8.50 an hour part time. The insurance is worth 15.00 an hour. The management is great if you go along with the program. I did 4 years from 1997 to 2001. Load the trucks or containers for 3 hours. It's like going to a gym and getting in great shape and getting paid. You just have to put up with the union thugs. Stand up for yourself and they will backdown. I stood up to a thug steward who was a foot taller than me and a 100 lbs. heavier. He quit a week later because I stood up to him. He told me to go to hell because I went to work a few seconds before break ended. I stood up on my tippy toes and flexed my UPS muscles and said FU. I was in the small sort area where there were 20 women that witnessed this. The steward was a bully and embarrassed. I was a hero to rank and file for getting rid of this bully.
