Is Article II of the US Constitution silly? I didn’t realize that.

and yes, those who ignore long-standing and cherished traditions which hold that there is a certain level of respect to be afforded to the President whenever he speaks—like the slow drip-drip of Chinese water torture, they are damaging democracy.

If you want to talk about ignoring long time traditions, why don’t you start with Obama who is naming massive numbers of czars to government posts with no Congressional approval (where is that in Article II?)

Also, I sure hope you spoke out when Bush was heckled and had shoes thrown at him and everything else, in contradiction to established decorum.

Also such lack of decorum has seemed to not affect the Brits - has not ‘damaged’ their democracy.

Of course I did. It was disgraceful, no matter the political party of the perpetrator. The shoe-throwing was an criminal assault, not a breach of decorum.
