There is a charge floating around out there that President Barack Obama knew in advance about the radical background of Van Jones before appointing him as his "green jobs czar." So where is this charge coming from? Glenn Beck? Nope. Fox News? Nope. This revelatory charge was made on the pages of the liberal San Francisco Chronicle in an article on the Jones resignation written by Joe Garofoli:
The middle-of-the-night resignation Sunday of longtime Bay Area activist Van Jones as a White House environmental adviser left many progressives angry at the Obama administration for buckling to conservative criticism of Jones' controversial past comments and actions.
...Supporters say the administration surely knew his background when they appointed Jones, the first African American to write a best-selling environmental book, as special adviser for green jobs at the White House Council on Environmental Quality. In fact, agents interviewed at least one of his former supervisors in San Francisco - Eva Paterson - when the FBI vetted his appointment.

Of course he did. Most of his czars are radicals.
The Great Lakes czar heads the alliance for the great lakes which has some pretty radical goals as well.

Obama appoints these loons to distract us Conservatives. While we are proud of ourselves for digging up stuff on loons like Van Jones and then watching him fall on his sword, Obama is snickering as he puts through his real agendas.
I never cease to be amazed at how dumb the liberals must think we are. I guess it’s because they think like liberals and know these things don’t matter to the Left like they do conservatives. Time was they could slip these things in on us and we would have no way of knowing in advance just how liberal an appointee might be. Not now! With the Internet the information is out there within days, sometimes hours, of an announcement. I love it!
Does anybody actually think that some people at the White House were screening randomly submitted resumes and they picked Jones (or any of the others) based on job applications.

As you said, OF COURSE HE KNEW.
Sometimes, I cannot bring myself to figure out what to be more concerned about-the possibility that he DID NOT know this and appointed someone like Van Jones, or...as I feel strongly, Van Jones, Ayers, Wright et al are people just like him. They do not differ from him in any substantial way, from his ideology, from his philosophy, etc.
Never mind. The second option concerns me more.

Never underestimate Obama. Nuts like Jones are there to take the heat away from Obama. While we take down a czar, Obama smiles knowing that we have expended our efforts on a diversion. Don’t get me wrong. We need to wipe our these czars. We also need to be vigilant to Obam’s real agenda.
I have not been a big Glenn Beck fan...he seems smarmy...but I gotta admit, he did yeoman service on this.
And I thank him.
Will watch more often.

What was done with the FBI report? Does ANYONE in authority see it other than Hussein? If the FBI reports don’t carry any more weight than THIS one obviously did; the country is in worse shape than I imagined. Where is J. Edgar Hoover when we need him? Woman’s clothing and all, if indeed true, he still did a 1000% better job at the Bureau than is being done lately!

Ditto to the “of course”! Certainly he knew! You don’t see him appointing Phyllis Schlafly or Sarah Palin as czarina to anything!
He was personally selected by Obama... for a reason.

It would be interesting to see how many times Van Go visited the White House since Barry was inaugurated, but, in a surprising move.....
Barry has sealed the White House visitor’s logs from Jan till September.
Obama has sealed more things than 3M.
Van Jones had a loose screw...or two...
