"Score one for common sense. Self-avowed radical Van Jones has resigned."
-snip-
"In grand Van fashion, he did not accept responsibility, but instead blamed others for his downfall."
-snip-
"..."Lies and distortions to distract and divide"...come on Mr. Jones, just who was doing the lying and distorting? Take the most recent event to surface from your past, YOUR signature on a petition from a group that asserts President Bush and the U.S. Government participated in the attacks of September 11th?"
TOPICS: Government; News/Current Events; Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: obama; truther; vanjones
A good starting point for analysis of the resignation. Next question, since the Obama administration is the most transparent administration in history, what has Mr. Jones been up to in his half year tenure as a senior advisor to the President of the US?

And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren’t for you meddling kids.

How typical, blaming others instead of taking responsibility for your own words and deeds.

President Obama’s supporters want to blame Glenn Beck, talk radio, and conservative web sites for the Jones fiasco. All we did was discuss what Van Jones has said and done.
Perhaps Mr. Obama’s supporters think that 911 was an inside job, and feel it's a great idea to make racially charged public statements and denigrate their opponents. Gee, we should have these people make our healthcare decisions for us.

That is page one of their playbook and the first thing they teach recruits.
It’s never your fault, here’s your victim card. Don’t worry about overusing it, it is unlimited.

Call it the Ward Churchill effect. If you are a leftist you can get away with outrageous behavior and statements up to a point. Once you become too prominent or too obnoxious the whole stinking can of worms splits open.
To: InterestedQuestioner
I don’t remember the exact wording but Ann Coulter said that liberals are the only ones who accuse you of lies and mudslinging if all you do is repeat their own statements back to them.

That about sums it up. I'd really like to know what this guy has been up to since taking his post last March. He's been spending our tax dollars, wouldn't it be great if the white house released all of his emails policy proposals to the public? It's not like there are any national security issues involved, and he has been creating these things on our dime.
Since the Obama administration was so excited to have recruited such a creative individual, why not show us ALL the good work he's been doing? I mean, it's not like Mr. Obama would be disclosing national security secrets and informing terrorists about the limitations of our interrogation programs or anything like that. Just a track record of “creating green jobs” by a self-avowed communist. We paid for it, didn't we? Show us that we are really overreacting by pointing out that Mr. Obama’s adviser is a communist who signed a petition about the American government participating in 911.

I’m not a fan of David Frum, but he really put the pedal to the metal on CNN this morning blasting Van Jones. Some liberal pinhead was whining about right wing political terrorists, playing the race card, etc. Frum, sticking to the “truther petition” issue, totally mashed this guy.

Good summary. I think the issue with Mr. Jones wasn't so much what was already on the table, but the reports that were about to become public. The Obama administration wanted him out the door with a few denunciations of conservatives before the storm really hit.
They should be nervous about the rest of their staffers as well. They have prominent abortion activists and a guy who advocated forced sterilizations in high positions.

If the Democrats continue to lie about Van Jones, they’re doing the country a disservice. Jones was undone by his own words and his own actions. To imply otherwise just makes the political atmosphere more toxic.

Classic case of affirmative action gone bad. This guy is one of he most over rated clowns I have ever seen. Because he says the absurd with a smile and says it loudly doesn’t mean he is intelligent, it just means he is a different kind of America hater than Rev. Wright. Glad he’s gone.

Mean old “whitey” fueled outrage against the “Marxist, Truther, Commie, racist, green Czar”. Maybe if he wasn’t such a tool there would have not been so much outrage.
