The Arctic Sea cargo ship that disappeared for almost a month earlier this summer, was carrying weapons to Iran and was being tracked by Mossad, the Israeli security service, according to reports.
Mystery has surrounded the ship, officially carrying a cargo of timber worth £1.3 million from Finland to Algeria, since its crew first reported a boarding in Swedish waters on July 24 after a raid by 10 armed English-speaking men posing as anti-narcotics police officers.
It was eventually recovered off the coast of west Africa on August 17. Russia has since charged eight men from Estonia, Latvia and Russia with kidnapping and piracy.

Heh heh heh.
When is the Mossad going to get active against some of the, uh, ‘problems’ working against them in America?
Ping.

I’m still trying to figure out that course from Finland to Swedish waters to Algeria - by way of the west coast of Africa.
Surprising that the ship was not just scuttled.
Your excerpt missed the most important parts:
“Israeli and Russian security sources have questioned The Kremlin’s official explanation, instead arguing that the ship was carrying S-300 missiles, Russia’s most advanced anti-aircraft weapon, while undergoing repairs in the Russian port of Kaliningrad, a notorious Baltic smuggling base. “
I Suggest everyone go read the original post.
Wouldn’t count them out. Would have lots of sympathetic inside help for sure.
Does anyone know what happened to the missiles? Were they seized, destroyed or what?
Snicker - Remanent of old Soviet Union - moderate piece of enclave land entirely surrounded by the Baltic, Poland and Lithuania but retained as Russia's only year-round 'ice free' port on the Baltic. Supposedly home port for Russia's Baltic Fleet but more ruled by bad combination of Putin Oligarchs and Russian Mob. "Lets make a Deal" land.
Old German/Prussian city of Königsberg pre WW1 and on the east side of the Danzig Corridor between the wars. Enclaves seldom last long, especially when the countries are unfriendly.
Polish-Russian relations went really cold this past week when the Russians basically blamed Poland for starting WW2 and waving away any responsibility for the Soviet Union's murder of the old Polish Army in the Katyn massacre (20,000 murders). Between that and the threats about US putting in an anti-missile system in NATO member Poland, their cold war is in the deep freeze.
Let’s see...Russian or Russian-influenced Baltic ports like St. Petersburg, Talinn or Riga would take you through Finnish, Sweedish and Danish waters to the North Sea. Not sure if Tangiers would qualify as the West Coast of Africa...but close enough.
Offload in Morocco, Mauritania, Mali? Put them on a truck or two or three, go overland?
Sure to be “a few” Muslim sympathizers in that area. 8<)
Rabat makes a lot of sense...
The story is much more sinister than reported by MSM. Some believe the ship was actually carrying nuclear warheads for missles already in Iran’s possesion.

Is Russia setting the stage for a nuclear apocalypse? [Part II]
There was a former CIA guy on Glenn Beck that was saying that Russia would arm Iran until something broke in the region. That would lead to a shutdown in oil from the ME leaving Russia the sole provider to the west. $400 per bbl prices.
If youd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.

What happened to the weapons, though;-?
