Palestinians 'seriously considering' one-state

WASHINGTON (AFP) - - Former US president Jimmy Carter said Sunday Palestinian leaders were "seriously considering" a one-state solution for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, following a visit to the Middle East.

"A majority of the Palestinian leaders with whom we met are seriously considering acceptance of one state, between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea," Carter wrote in an op-ed piece in The Washington Post.

"By renouncing the dream of an independent Palestine, they would become fellow citizens with their Jewish neighbors and then demand equal rights within a democracy," he explained. "In this non-violent civil rights struggle, their examples would be Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela."

... Carter noted that in doing so, Palestinian leaders were taking into consideration current demographic trends.

Jew-hater Carter has apparently not been reading the news for the last 40 years.

I had to double check to make sure this wasn't from some satire site. I wonder if the demented fool bothered to assess the Israelis' thoughts on this "Final Solution."

Hilter, too, envisioned a one state solution. It’s capital was Berlin and it extended from Iberia to Siberia.

I’m no fan of Carter, if just because I can actually remember the 70’s, but I don’t see how what is in this article translates to Jew-hate. Now yes, a one state solution is a totally idiotic idea that can never because both sides hate each other and always will but I don’t think bringing it up makes someone a jew hater.

Nothing new here. The Palestinians and their lapdog, Carter, have always wanted a one-state solution...or to be more correct, a one-state Final Solution.

because both sides hate each other and always will

The problem with one democratic state is that the Jewish people will be the minorities... like I said in the previous post... they are not that stupid.

Smart move, the Palis know demographics are on their side, of course the Israelis won’t be stupid enough to fall for it.

Not necessarily. It seems as if in every part of the world except this country Jews seem to be flocking to Israel. I don’t think they’d have a problem. However, it simply wouldn’t work. Hell, in this country people vote on ethnicity and for which candidate will do best for their group and we don’t kill each other on a regular basis. They do and so, imagine ethnic politics in America 5,000 times worse.

It’s intriguing as an intellectual idea but it’s stupid when examined. There are only two solutions for Israel. Leave the situation as it is now or have a formal two state solution. Having them all in one state is sheer lunacy.

No, that by itself does not. He just a long-standing habit of siding with the likes of Hamas over Israel. He knows full well what Hamas is- and organization dedicated to the slaughter of Israelis and/or Jews, and the destruction of Israel. He hates Jews.

I will tell you how it makes him a Jew hater. Look at what happens to religious minorities in Arab majority states. They are attacked without mercy until they convert or leave. Carter knows this. He doesn’t care. He is merely parroting this Arab threat because he hates Jews and has for a long time. Arabs say, “Jump” and Jimmy Carter asks, “How high?”. That’s especially so when Jews are involved.

"He hates Jews"

James Baker served on the Iraq Study Group so he hate Jews.

If someone/anyone criticizes Neo Con foreign policies, he is a Jew Hater.

If someone/anyone disagrees with you, he is a Jew Hater.

Huh? You need it spelled out? It works like this; through bombings and killings and murder and harrassment and anarchy, they force the "Jews" into such miserable living conditions, that they emigrate (like White South Africans, except much faster). Obviously the Palies can endure misery much more readily than the "Jews", so they will be there to pick up the remnants.

Carter is not just being disingenuous. He is a mendacious Anti-Semite.

“Look at what happens to religious minorities in Arab majority states. They are attacked without mercy until they convert or leave.”

You should never make a blanket statement that can be so easily refuted. Syria, which is governed by a party which was founded by a Christian, has a very prosperous and socially accepted Christian community and the average Christian Syrian is wealthier than the average Muslim Syrian. Jordan does not have as many Christians as Syria but the same pattern of a Christian upper-class is also present there.

Now, you can contrast this with how Christians are discriminated against in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and other countries like that but it does vary from country to country. Syria and Jordan have fairly good records of religious tolerance, Egypt is sort of schizophrenic where it discriminates against Copts but also bankrolls the Coptic Church and then you have Turkey which is a Muslim country where they discriminate against devout Muslims.

Well OF COURSE Palestinian leaders are willing to consider a single state occupying all of the land between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea. They just don’t want any Jews living in it.

So Neo-Con = Jews? Is that what the existence of Israel is ? A neo-con foreign policy position ??

What are you, a leftover from the old Buchanan brigades? Back under your rock , Neanderthal.
