Pence Calls For Van Jones's Resignation

President Obama should demand the resignation of White House "green jobs czar" Van Jones, House Republican Conference Chairman Mike Pence (R-Ind.) said Friday.

Pence argued that Jones, who has been embroiled in two national controversies this week, should lose his job, and said that Congress should have more say over the dozens of "czars" installed by Obama since taking office.

"Given recent revelations concerning the associations and statements of the president's green jobs czar, Van Jones should resign his position and if he is unwilling to do so, the president should demand his resignation," Pence said in a statement. "His extremist views and coarse rhetoric have no place in this Administration or the public debate."

Jones has faced pressure since it came to light this week that he signed a petition calling for an investigation into whether President George W. Bush was responsible for 9/11 terrorist attacks, lumping him with so-called "truthers" who believe the attacks were coordinated.

Jones has denied that he was familiar with the content of the petition, but also found himself in hot water earlier this week when a video circulated of him calling Republicans "a**holes."

Pence said that Obama should suspend the appointments of future "czars" to oversee different policy areas until Congress has an opportunity to examine whether such appointments, without congressional approval area allowed.

"In the wake of these recent revelations, the president should suspend any further appointments of so-called 'czars' until Congress has an opportunity to examine the background and responsibilities of these individuals and to determine the constitutionality of such appointments, which have spanned multiple administrations," Pence said.

I’m with you my friend. The energy of the town hall meetings on health care needs to be sustained and carried over into outrages over EVERYTHING Obama does. He is a Marxist ..it is CLEAR AS DAY.
