Obama czar's comments surface amid report White House to gather Web users' info
Environmental activism combined with new information technology, such as social networking websites, can bring about a political realignment "to get us the country we always wanted," according to President Obama's controversial "green jobs" adviser, Van Jones.
"It's my great hope that if we combine this breakthrough in clean energy technology with the real breakthrough in the information networking domain, we can get to a breakthrough in American politics," said Jones at a speech screened by WND.
Jones was speaking on how social technology can help solve global problems at the Personal Democracy Forum in New York City last year. There, he discussed what he said was the importance of social networking websites, and he called for a "Green New Deal" in which the government is no longer part of the "problem makers of the economy."
"If we can combine these two revolutions in green technology and information technology, we can have a political realignment to get us the country we always wanted," he said.

His comments about using social networking technology to bring about a political realignment surfaced as WND reported yesterday the White House is seeking to hire a contractor to gather information about users from its pages on social networking websites such as Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr.
The National Legal and Policy Center, or NLPC, revealed the White House New Media team is seeking to hire a technology vendor to collect data such as comments, tag lines, e-mail, audio and video from any place where the White House "maintains a presence" for a period of up to eight years.

It's my great hope I can understand this gibberish.

Hey, Barry... Read my tag line and store this:
The Failed Obama Administration©.
hehe...my thoughts exactly
“”It’s my great hope that if we combine this breakthrough in clean energy technology with the real breakthrough in the information networking domain, we can get to a breakthrough in American politics,””
And what would that breakthrough “in clean energy technology” be? Using lies about non-existent, cheap, clean energy solutions to get power and keep it? I know of no such breakthrough. I do know of a series of very small improvements in existing clean energy technologies that still leave them FAR more expensive than fossil fuels or nuclear.
Rule of thumb to understanding Leftists: Always start with the presumption that their goal in any matter is slavery, and work backwards from there.
What's it's always been, and always will be until we achieve zero-point energy production - nuclear power.
Excellent advice, but don't forget the other component- Robbing You Blind while enslaving you. Got to have more of "everybody else's money" to do it.
