Sniff...sniff...sniff...we smell some oppo research cooking. That's the only explanation for the right-wingosphere's delayed reaction to Comrade Marinucci's fine camera work from FOUR MONTHS AGO when California GOP hopeful Meg Whitman told her that she was a "huge fan" of the work of Van Jones. Said she met Jones on a cruise.
At that time, Van's biggest sin was his recent appointment as a green jobs advisor to President O. Then he was green. Now, he's red.
For those who don't set the dial to the right, Jones is this month's Bill Ayers to righties thanks to Fox Newsite Glenn Beck going all Joe McCarthy on Van -- inaccurately and/or hyperbolically -- for his past as a "Communist". The reason: Jones is the co-founder of Berkeley's Color of Change, the online organization that led a successful advertiser boycott of Beck's show after he went all Grand Dragon on Obama. Or maybe Beck was still ticked about Van calling Republicans "a-holes" a few months before he joined the Administration. Jones has since apologized.
Nonetheless, Camp Poizner is all over this, sending a missive today noting that Bakersfield radio (KNZR 1560 AM, which carries Beck's radio show) host Jaz McKay "criticized GOP gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman over her support of Van Jones." And they use -- ahem! -- Comrade M.'s four-month-old video.
Anways, Jaz played the clip, then added some commentary afterwards, which Team Poiz dutifully recorded.... probably because McKay said "(Whitman) is the eBay chick, right? And she is running for governor. She has more money than Steve Poizner, who's the only hope the state really has at this point."
After playing the clip, McKay said: "Who doesn't love a Republican who goes on global warming cruises with communists, right?"

You’re right, despite the publication’s intent or desire, it doesn’t harm Glenn Beck. Med Whitman is a moderate Republican whereas Glenn is a self described Libertarian, with conservative views when it comes to our military and police.

If Meg did indeed go gaga over Van Jones on a cruise it was a huge mistake by an INEXPERIENCED wannabe politician.
Imagine if Sarah Palin had embraced Van Jones.
The difference between a savvy, principled and EXPERIENCED conservative and a sophomoric elitist whose only desire is for self-aggrandizement and to mix with the beautiful people.

What it reveals is another Republican who is off nodding their head and clapping before they know what they are praising. I’m not overly excited about Whitman. I don’t want another Republican lite. Let Newsome have if you can’t find a real conservative to run. Tom McClinktock should run http://mcclintock.house.gov/ he is in a perfect position. He can run against an increasingly unpopular Gov and he can run against increasingly unpopular Democrats. Now is the time California conservatives. Offer up some real change. People are ripe for it now.
Speaking of “Van Jones”.........Mr. Green? Sure. Going Green? Yeah. Try and get a loan on an Off-the-Grid property nowadays. Can Van Jones tell me where to get one? People are looking. Sure. Lots going “Green”, but where are the home loans for “GREEN PROPERTIES”?

It doesn’t harm Beck at all. The author assumes all republicans support all other republicans no matter what, and that if a republican supports Jones, then it must be ok for Obama to appoint Jones. Its lib logic and makes no sense at all.
I gave her the benefit of the doubt until I went over to GOP 12 and saw Meg on You Tube hearting Van Jones.
I definitely agree now-she is toast.
