Sniff...sniff...sniff...we smell some oppo research cooking. That's the only explanation for the right-wingosphere's delayed reaction to Comrade Marinucci's fine camera work from FOUR MONTHS AGO when California GOP hopeful Meg Whitman told her that she was a "huge fan" of the work of Van Jones. Said she met Jones on a cruise.
At that time, Van's biggest sin was his recent appointment as a green jobs advisor to President O. Then he was green. Now, he's red.
For those who don't set the dial to the right, Jones is this month's Bill Ayers to righties thanks to Fox Newsite Glenn Beck going all Joe McCarthy on Van -- inaccurately and/or hyperbolically -- for his past as a "Communist". The reason: Jones is the co-founder of Berkeley's Color of Change, the online organization that led a successful advertiser boycott of Beck's show after he went all Grand Dragon on Obama. Or maybe Beck was still ticked about Van calling Republicans "a-holes" a few months before he joined the Administration. Jones has since apologized.
Nonetheless, Camp Poizner is all over this, sending a missive today noting that Bakersfield radio (KNZR 1560 AM, which carries Beck's radio show) host Jaz McKay "criticized GOP gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman over her support of Van Jones." And they use -- ahem! -- Comrade M.'s four-month-old video.
Anways, Jaz played the clip, then added some commentary afterwards, which Team Poiz dutifully recorded.... probably because McKay said "(Whitman) is the eBay chick, right? And she is running for governor. She has more money than Steve Poizner, who's the only hope the state really has at this point."
After playing the clip, McKay said: "Who doesn't love a Republican who goes on global warming cruises with communists, right?"

I question the intelligence of any communist. In theory and/or in practice, can anyone make a cogent case for Marxist/socialist/communist economics that makes even one angstrom unit of sense

Its a gotcha moment allright, but for Whitman not Beck. There goes her race for governor.
Meg Whitman is the Christie Whitman of California, if not worse.

Why does that harm Glenn Beck though? That’s what I’m geting from the title. Was Beck supporting her or something?
