President Obama's plan to inspire the nation's schoolchildren with a video address next week erupted into controversy Wednesday, forcing the White House to pull out its eraser and rewrite a government recommendation that teachers nationwide assign students a paper on how to "help the president," the Washington Times reported.
Presidential aides acknowledged the White House helped the U.S. Education Department craft the proposal, which immediately was met by fierce criticism from Republicans and conservative organizations who accused Obama of trying to politicize the education system.
White House aides said the language was an honest misunderstanding in what was supposed to be a inspirational, pro-education message to America's youths.

I am confused, is the ENTIRE CALL being withdrawn, or just the PART OF THE PHONE CALL about HELPING THE resident.
The ENTIRE CALL should be erased—not just the part about a paper to help resident....
I assume your yearly parochial school tuition cost is much less than the 9K per child per year for public schools that is spent as well (most are 1/3 that cost). Unfortunately you still have to pay all of the taxes for public school and still pay the tuition costs, but it sure shows that government has way over subsidized public schools and they are not competitive by any stretch.

Exactly! They got caught but they always have an ‘add on’ to something they really want - something they know is pushing it to the limit to see what will fly w/their trial balloons. So if they take away some portion of it, people think they won. But he’s still speaking to the children - that’s what he wanted all along. And that should NOT be allowed either, IMO.
The fact they’re pulling this son such short notice is an indication the voices of opposition against Marxist hoods is much louder than we’re lead to believe.

They mis spoke AGAIN. This is all they are good for.
My problem with the whole thing is that the program is being done with "stimulus" money. In the video the kids are exhorted to "consume less", this message brought to you by "stimulus" money. They act as if the private sector just doesn't exist.
