I read that Obama just announced that the part about asking the children to “help” him would be dropped because of “conservative protests”...but of course, the curriculum was sent out a week ago, everything is already in place, and the event will go forward, with perhaps one sentence being reworded.
The sad thing is that we Catholics had a wonderful educational system (purposely designed to keep our kids out of the public schools, which were regarded as teaching things contrary to the Faith) and we let it be destroyed by Vatican II. The sisters who had run those schools suddenly decided they wanted to go off and find themselves, or be priests, or at least be social workers, live in apartments by themselves, get rid of the habit, etc. Rarely has there been a time when they Catholic schools were more necessary. But the sisters didn’t feel that teaching was worthy of their feminist dignity, and the schools are shuttered now.
BHO concessions are so meaningless; & so untrustwowrthy -— like healthcare concession; Just tweak plan and proceed with goals.
