How is it NY (as well as everywhere I guess), imposed the digital system when there are still elderly (that even with the coupon couldn’t afford the boxes, and were told they also needed a $60 antenna), who can’t get it and will not be warned by the Emergency Broadcast System because there are NO channels... NONE without it.
I asked about this when they first thought it up. How will they know about emergencies?
How can they do this? I’m serious.
Cable has a monopoly on NYC. Before at least you could get a few local channels as well as Public Television/CUNY channels, and at least two of the three main networks. Now you get nada, zero, zilch unless you pay for cable or purchase the box and sometimes the antenna. (I know, that was the idea re: digital)
