Yes, and if I were in his shoes I would have done exactly what he did.
Some “Stuck on Stupid” renta-cop caused him a lot of grief. I think he responded correctly and politely. My e-mail was in a reasonable tone, and his response was as polite.
Yup - he’s not happy about the campus cop, and having his inbox stuffed full!
