Conveniently, Broder forgets to mention that the stimulus, health care, and so many other troubles were directly caused by the ridiculous policies of the Obama administration.
Of course nevermind that the challenges in Iraq, Afghanistan & Iran are largely of Obama’s own doing by his “make nice” theory on dealing with those who would kill us.
Poor, poor Obama: he’s created a mess and now he must live in it.

good point. The presidency is probably the toughest job in the world. What the heck does anybody expect? Any president has to face the tough issues and Obama is no exception.
He won the election, as Nancy Pelosi is fond of saying. But just because Democrats won the election for pres. and congress does not mean that the people want socialized medicine and cap and tax bills and other liberal clap trap.
According to recent polls, there are more conservatives than liberals in all 50 states, in each of the states. Conservatism may well find growing support as the liberalism of Obama, Pelosi, tributes to Ted Kennedy, etc. get people thinking more about politics and how conservative principles can be applied to our problems today. There are alternatives on healthcare besides socialized medicine, which conservatives have talked about, but which don’t get much play in the MSM.
It must ALWAYS be a “scary season” for any deamon working against God!
Probably because you projected your own feelings about the town hall meetings onto the "broader public". Probably because you haven't seriously entertained the notion that normal people can have legitimate concerns about the healthcare reform.
That line caught my eye, too. Opportunistic?? How about Rahm with the ‘never let a good crisis go to waste’? Big Media has truly compromised itself. No one but hard core Leftists can trust them anymore.

One thing people need to watch for is his “Civilian Army”. They don’t need nor will they use “Marketing glitz”. One thing that Washington hasn’t realized yet and that is how pissed off the people are. They best be careful.

Broder is such an a**hole. These MSM-types are so in tank for Obama it defies description.
Obama is not in a “scarey season.” He has consolidtated his executive power, has leftists in the necessary positions, is attacking the CIA so it can no longer act to keep us safe as a nation,and it is preparing to rule America through executive fiat. The Congress will pass laws after the fact to cover them.
This is the way natioal socialism works, and idiot American voters elected him, while a small vocal minority of us has been sceeaming to high heavens all through the presidential election cycle, thought of as whackos. Nobody is calling that vocal minority whackos now. The worst is yet to come.
Obama is fully prepared to respond to the expected wrath of the American people according to plans already made.The nation, or parts of it, will likely be placed under martial law.And then we will not likely have a genuine election for many years.
There are theree options for Americans:
1) fight the federal government through civil disobedience
and possible violence
2) Impeach Obama and recall our federal representatives while moving for state secession.
3) Emmigrate
Before its over, some will employ all three. Obama is not
into a scarey season at all. Obama has fully planned for it,just as national socialist governments in recent history did.
Oh, Obama knows that rationing is part of it, and that is all he cares about, but why would he talk about that?

Hey, Broder. The Dems have overwhelming control over Congress. They can pass anything they want. The “implacable and opportunistic Republican opposition” cannot stop any Dem legislation.
0bama will soon find an excuse for a “bomb the aspirin factory” military mission to “save the day” somewhere so as to deflect attention and boost his ratings. Mark my words... I just hope his self-absorbed recklessness doesn’t start WWIII
