The Veterans Administration might as well abandon all subtleties, dig a grave and push our nations heroes into it. We owe a debt of gratitude to Americas veterans that we can never repay. The VA has not only brought shame upon its department but also on our whole nation. Perfectly stated!

This veteran has already made his end of life choice - I'll die when God is ready for me to die and not a nanosecond sooner!

You know, maybe four or five of those could be applicable to someone doing life without parole even if they weren’t ill.
Imagine the reaction among the Democrats/Liberals if something like this was applied to those in prison.

What makes your life worth living? It lists 18 potential physical conditions, and the veteran is required to check which column reflects his outlook on life. One of those columns is not worth living.I wonder if it has ever occurred to these geniuses that a person suffering from depression would likely answer "not worth living" to almost any condition of life you could name? Or that combat veterans with injuries might be more likely than most to be suffering from depression?
I'm not sure which is greater; the callousness or the ignorance of asking an injured veteran (or anyone) these questions in a checklist survey.

For those who want a government-run health care system, they need to look at the existing VA system and this ominous guide. The quality of health care at the VA ranks from superior to horrible. Much of that depends on what state the VA hospital is in and whether that state values its veterans.
Good article blowing the whistle on the pro-euthanasia author of the Guide.

I do what I can to avoid the VA. After what I experienced while being treated by them I will use them as a last resort.
