“What makes your life worth living?” It lists 18 potential physical conditions, and the veteran is required to check which column reflects his outlook on life. One of those columns is “not worth living.”

I wonder if it has ever occurred to these geniuses that a person suffering from depression would likely answer "not worth living" to almost any condition of life you could name? Or that combat veterans with injuries might be more likely than most to be suffering from depression?

I'm not sure which is greater; the callousness or the ignorance of asking an injured veteran (or anyone) these questions in a checklist survey.

To answer the question, “What makes your life worth living?” I would say, “The fact that Jesus lives in my heart.”
