The Sun interview with Van Jones
The Sun ^ | March 2008 | David Kupfer

Posted on 08/28/2009 1:36:47 PM PDT by marstegreg

Obviously, you’ll want to split the business community: the problem makers should get nothing but grief; the problem solvers should get plenty of support. Right now the problem makers — the warmongers, the polluters, the clear-cutters, the incarcerators — get all the support they need from the government. The problem solvers — the solar engineers and the people who are growing local and organic produce — get very little support from any level of government. We want to lure the government away from the problem makers and put it back on the side of the problem solvers: give them the tax breaks, the subsidies, and the incentives, and starve those other guys.

Another part of the new-deal strategy is to give labor plenty of support. We have to find union-wage jobs for low-income people, and those are just the sort of jobs that building a sustainable infrastructure will create. But it will require government action, public-private partnerships, and, most of all, leadership.

There was so much in this interview, I didn't know what to post! It certainly is eye opening. I am starting to think that this is a pal of Nancy Pelosi, and not Obama! She is mentioned in almost every interview.

Van believes that blacks should be allowed to do what they want without fear of prison. Uh, Van, the reason why so many blacks are in prison is race hatred and NOT because they committed murder, armed robbery, rape and other horrible crimes?

Blacks should be union workers? I don’t think there is anything preventing this (watch for BLACK unions).

This is just good old fashion race hatred and Communism.

Jones is just one of a ever growing number of commie-marxist thugs that Obama has put in high government position. Glen Beck is very worried...and so am I. They’re going to try to silence conservative talk radio. But it won’t be called “The Fairness Doctrine”. It will be called “localization” and “promoting diversity”. Be vigilant.

I don’t know whose friend Van Jones is, but I know he’s not mine.

I was doing a little research on the Apollo alliance in WA state after hearing about it on the Glen Beck show. The WA Apollo Alliance says on it’s web site that it is a Blue-Green alliance, that is a an alliance between the blue collar union workers and the environmental activists. In the case of WA state, that is the SEIU and the SIERRA club. Obviously both the SEIU and the SIERRA club are very active in WA.

I am convinced that EVEERYTHING that Obama is doing is aimed at unionizing the whole work force under the SEIU, including the whole health care industry. That’s what Obamacare is all about and that is why they cannot forgo the public option.

Van Jones is just there to keep everything in motion.

Sorry to go a bit OT, but your post reminded me of the Blago/SEIU/0 pay for play.

http://www.suntimes.com/news/metro/blagojevich/1321363,Blagojevich-Obama-Senate-Seat-illinois-120908.article

On Nov. 10, Blagojevich, his wife, Harris, Governor General Counsel, Advisor B and other Washington-based advisors participated at different times in a two-hour phone call in which they allegedly discussed, among other things, a deal involving the SEIU.

Harris allegedly said they could work out a deal with the union and the President-elect where SEIU could help the President-elect with Blagojevich’s appointment of Senate Candidate 1, while Blagojevich would obtain a position as the national director of the Change to Win campaign and SEIU would get something favorable from the President-elect in the future.

That wasn’t really much of a deal because the SEIU is an Obama organization. It was from the start, at least the “service workers” portion of the SEIU. The State Employees union already existed, I believe.

The AFL became to big for their britches, as my grandmother might have said. they thought that they thought that they could control the politicians by controlling the donations and the members’ votes. As the number of union members declined, though, the harder and harder it became to ensure enough votes to push the Democrat candidate over the top.

So, the Chicago politicians came up with a new idea, a union that they controlled, instead of the other way around. The politicians (and community organizers) keep the union members working for them by promising them government contract work and governemt benefits. None of that socialized medicine for them. If they can unionize the whole health care industry, it will be a permanent Democrat voting base that will be unstoppable. The SEIU has already taken over all the nursing unions in the state of WA and we have a former head of the WA state SEIU as the state superintendent of schools.
