The convicted sex offender accused of snatching Jaycee Lee Dugard from a South Lake Tahoe street 18 years ago, then fathering her two children, told a Sacramento television station that "a digusting thing'' took place but that his life has "been straightened out.''
Phillip Garrido told KCRA 3 in a telephone interview that "you are going to be completely impressed'' when more details of what took place are revealed.
"It's a disgusting thing that took place with me at the beginning,'' he told the TV station. "But I turned my life completely around and to be able to understand that, you have to start there."
Garrido, who was arrested along with his wife Nancy, said his business, God's Desire, has "kept me busy the last several years.''
"And you're going to find the most powerful story coming from the witness, the victim -- you wait,'' he told the station. "If you take this a step at a time, you're going to fall over backwards and in the end, you're going to find the most powerful heart-warming story."

If I were in charge of this investigation, I would be “impressed” enough to dig up the entire backyard of that property to see if there are any bodies buried there.
I also hope the FBI is focusing like a laser beam on the disappearances of other children in the Bay area for the past few decades to see if this monster was involved.

When reading stories like this, I’m almost in tears just imagining the anguish.
Why does California breed this kind of crime? Since Manson we’ve had O.J., Patty Hearst, shots at the president, Michael Jackson, Phil Spector, the “Baretta” guy, couples killed on the beach for no reason, and on it goes. Tahoe has to be in the top 10 most beautiful places on the planet, along with the coastline, Yosemite, Sierras; and somehow it attracts people like this.
Then to denigrate the Christian religion? Please put these perps out, quickly and let’s start thinking of how we can help the victims; if that is even possible.
By all accounts they're in physical good health. Mentally.... that's undoubtedly a different story.

What an interesting hobby you have. You troll threads and come to ask your “innocent” questions about God, knowing all along that no one will be able to answer them to your satisfaction. But, at least it keeps you off the streets... LOL!
I am reminded of two passages in the Bible. One is where a tower fell and killed 18 people (Luke 13) and Jesus asked whether the people killed were worse offenders than the others in Jerusalem. He also described the events in Galilee where Pontius Pilate had just murdered several people. He also asked the same question as to whether those killed were worse sinners that other people in Galilee.
Jesus answered this question by saying no, these are not worse sinners than the others but that unless we repent we will all likewise perish.
Similarly, Jesus was asked about a blind man. He was asked if the blind man was in this condition because of his sin or because of the sin of his parents or ancestors. Again, Jesus said no, and in this case, he said it was so that God could be glorified, and the blind man was healed.
The point is this poor girl, or her family, had no choice in the matter, but that is not to say God wanted this to happen. One day, however, justice — finally — will be restored on the day of His return and the Keeper of the scales will balance such deeds out.
