BERLIN (Reuters) - German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Thursday raised the pressure on Israel to freeze its settlement building program and resume the Middle East peace process.
"We must make progress in the peace process ... and a stopping of the settlement (building) is very important," Merkel said at a joint news conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the German capital.
"Time is of the essence," she added.

This is none of your business, Angela. This is none of Germany’s business.
Germany lecturing Israel, now that is rich
“Germany lecturing Israel, now that is rich”
It is, now that you mention it. I thought they were seeking Israel’s forgiveness.
The idiots here are the Germans. Only an idiot country allows Muslim immigration. Keep it up Germany and you will have your own infitadas in a few decades. Then we will find out how pathetically you compare to the Israelis
Germany once more backing Judenrein.
"We must make progress in the peace process ... and a stopping of the settlement (building) is very important," Merkel said...I agree. Arabs should not be permitted to build any more of their squatter shacks, and all the existing ones should be demolished, and all Arabs deported from Israel.

That's nice, as though anyone cares.
I agree, stop all illegal Palestinian settlement growth in the illegally occupied Judea and Samaria. They should return to their ancestral homelands in Syria and Jordan.
Cue Count Floyd...
I really don’t know what Germany has to do with that peace process thing. It’s obviously not working and trying to mediate will just give us bad press with the radicals on both sides. Most Jews obviously took a totally different lesson - our “never again” means never again bystander, never again perpetrator, while theirs means never again victim. No wonder common ground is hard to find.
