He has the support of the military......until he loses it.

To my knowledge, that has never happened. But.....

In the interim, he can do what he wants within his idea of the law. That is why he hired a sleaze for the AG spot.

Well, if he keeps the majority of our military overseas in dubious police actions - he could potentially try to become dictator with his acorn army...

But many of us here would fight as true Patriots to defend our freedoms and liberty - even to death.

HR 675? Depending on how it’s interpreted and if it’s passed...

Also, this administrations method is to use or generate crisis to achieve goals. They might not need the military if some nutjob from our side does something horrible and talk radio is blamed.

And again, it may be as simple as attacking the advertisers...

That's the plot of my 3rd novel, in a nutshell. After a total economic meltdown and collapse of the dollar, the sheeple scream for the govt to "DO SOMETHING!" The "solution" comes at a Constitutional Convention, where we get the "Economic Justice Amendment" and the "Freedom From Gun Violence Amendment," among others.

Thus, the military has a brand new neo-communist Constitution to uphold and defend.

At least, that was the plan, but half of the nation rejects the "New Constitution" as invalid, leading to a low intensity CW2. The outcome hinges on the loyalty of decisive parts of the military to either the original or the new Constitution.

This thread has fairly died but I did want to address your statement/agreement regarding the ‘he needs the support of the US Military”
Where is the military currently? Where are they sending MORE troops? Who are they going to leave over there without a ticket home? Who has Obama been visiting with overseas? Who are they bringing into the states from Gitmo?

Don’t say it can’t happen.......It’s in the works. They are making a move to federalize the National Guard ref: thread from Monday, “S.D. National Guard leader: Pentagon control of local troops would create chaos” from the Rapid City Journal.

I hope the doubters are right........but the facts cannot be argued. (imo)

What was it that the Apollo guy said in the clip that Beck showed?

"My job is to be a community organizer inside the federal family."

What would happen if somebody "organizes" the poor inner city blacks and latinos at the "grunt" level in the military to disobey their commanders and follow Obama?

By arguing that Obama does not need the support of the US military, he needs the support of only a portion of the US military. Or, alternatively

He does not need the support of the US military he needs only the passivity of the US military while his extra military forces lockdown for him. Or, alternatively

He does not need the passivity of the whole of the US military but only the passivity of a portion of the US military at a few key strategic choke points. Or, alternatively

He operates under a patina of authority during crisis, (terrorist strike on the homeland or economic collapse) perhaps a national referendum, perhaps a rigged national convention, which gives him authority to suspend the Constitution and operate by Fiat, which only need be persuasive and plausible enough to permit the military to support him or remain passive.

If your salvation to protect us from an in-house coup is the US military, you're relying on one of the finest institutions in the entire world, but one with absolutely no experience in these kinds of affairs except as occurred in 1861 and you might be aware that the US military was hardly of one mind.

My heart is always cheered to hear absolutist affirmations of how the military will operate and how the stock market will behave from people who have no more credentials to judge than I do.
