Will President Obama "seize power overnight" in a move to consolidate White House control of the U.S. government?
That's the fear of Fox News anchor Glenn Beck who discussed the issue at length today with another broadcasting powerhouse, radio's Rush Limbaugh.
"I fear this government, this administration has so much framework already prepared, that they will seize power overnight before anybody even gives it a second thought," Beck said.
His comment came as he was analyzing the changing nature of the media since Obama's election, citing the administration's close ties with the NBC network, owned by corporate giant General Electric:
If you watch what could only be called the administration's organ – anything involved with GE or NBC – you've got [GE CEO] Jeffrey Immelt on the board of the Federal Reserve, you have him in the Oval Office consulting not only on health care, but the financial situation, and they are an organ. If you watch MSNBC, I contend that you will see the future because they are laying the ground for a horrible event ... anything from the right, there's some awful event and I fear this government, this administration has so much framework already prepared, that they will seize power overnight before anybody even gives it a second thought.
Limbaugh responded, "I don't think they're going to be able to seize it overnight without anybody knowing about it."

Agree. While I don't doubt that Obama would love to do it, they have to know they can't pull it off. It would be a third term kind of thing to do. He needs to get control of the military brass first, install a loyal corps within it that can counter any protests from the guys with the big guns, then have a brownshirt brigade to do his bidding with civilians, and also prepare the youth for about 8 years so that they are in their 20s and part of his cadre. Then, with a little planning and a fake crisis, they might be able to try it. Even then, it would spark civil war.
Keep an eye out for the amendment to let him have a third term. That will come early in a second term, if he gets one. If we fight hard enough, and keep ACORN from stealing it, he won't get a second term and this will all be moot.

I seem to remember two men escaping from a Nazi death camp, only to be doubted as lunacy when telling of the atrocities going on in the ‘work camps’. Matter of fact, they had agreed to let Hitler take another train load of people AFTER this information had been told by eyewitnesses!
yep. if a person just say 2 years ago went on about what was gonna happen say just from the election of nov. ‘09 ‘till now he would have been accused of more than just being goofy. I am of the mind that it is a good idea to listen to the becks of this world now since we are right in the middle of a crash course of the kind of things being forced down upon us that would have been deemed crazy man talk if it were to have been talked about as I said, just 2 years ago. I’m not saying hang on every word beck says, just give him a listen and keep an open mind...
In the meantime, it seems people will accept encroaching fascism. If he gets away with that, he may not need to take over all at once.
Beck is correct. Its clear that Obama seeks dictatorial power.

Remember...only about 10 percent of the Russian people belonged to the Communist Party, The same was true for the Nazi's in Germany. They never had a majority when they took power. Same in Italy under Mussolini. It Can Happen Here if we let it.

You KNOW when the president calls out his thugs to "get in their faces," it's the kind of leadership that can only be compared with bullying. The new "communications czar" (ex-Weather Underground) likely has the "street cred" required to be in the "inner circle."
If they plan to take conservative talk shows off the radio, there's going to be outrage and true disgust with Obama and his newbie czar. II predict if they think they've gotten flack over health care, wait until they pull this one off. Obama and the rest of his democrat buddies will be the most hated people in this land, bar none.
There is talk that an "event" of some sort may be the precursor to this form of media clampdown (pandemic, attack, who knows?). Remember the Biden promise of soon into Obama's term as president.....? As Beck says, he believes it's all been preplanned.

No, its a clear thinking response to Obama's actions and words.
Its already under way. As soon as the SCOTUS declares that the states have the power to demand registration, and that is only a year at most away, its done.
That's the plot of my 3rd novel, in a nutshell. After a total economic meltdown and collapse of the dollar, the sheeple scream for the govt to "DO SOMETHING!" The "solution" comes at a Constitutional Convention, where we get the "Economic Justice Amendment" and the "Freedom From Gun Violence Amendment," among others.
Thus, the military has a brand new neo-communist Constitution to uphold and defend.
At least, that was the plan, but half of the nation rejects the "New Constitution" as invalid, leading to a low intensity CW2. The outcome hinges on the loyalty of decisive parts of the military to either the original or the new Constitution.
