I personally tend to speak ill of many dead people: Hitler, Mussolini, Mao, etc. Some men live such reprobate lives that many cheer their passing on as an improvement in the world.

I’m sorry, but that is the way it is. The Bible does the same.

Don’t get me wrong though. One can carry it too far. Ted is in God’s hands now and I actually hope there was a death bed conversion.

Matthew 7:21-23 (New International Version)

21”Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Ted may be saved due to his confession of Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, but he’ll certainly have some ‘splainin’ to do.

I prefer to think that unrepentant killers wouldn't end up in heaven.......
