Well, it would be hypocritical of me to say that I'm sorry to hear about his passing. I honestly don't care – I know it's wrong not to care about someone – but I simply don't have a sympathetic reaction. They guy was a bad apple.

The blood from the death of an innocent woman was on his hands, and he escaped severe criminal punishment and the people of his state enabled him, returning him to the US Senate for decades.  On the contrary, he enjoyed the adulation and admiration of the media, and from many in the public at large.  He was treated like royalty and had exercised his government power for way too many years.

I know God is going to judge him, but that's not to say that he shouldn't face accountability on earth for his deeds.  He deserves more than just some criticism, in my opinion. Let God judge his eternal soul, and let us remember what he did during his time on earth.

Very well said.

We often hear people cry out for justice and a sense of fair play in our society. Too often it's just lip service among many.

I can't understand those who are so ready to overlook the Mary Jo Kopechne tragedy, so they can advance the cause of Teddy Kennedy. His behavior after the accident was despicable. Why he was allowed to continue on in the senate is beyond me; but more than that, why he allowed himself to continue on in that high office speaks of a deep character flaw. Most reasoned people with a sense of honor would never been in that position to begin with. And even if someone did get in that type of circumstance of having a traveling companion lying in the car underneath the water, I know that you would move Heaven and Earth to get that person out of the trapped car. Kennedy's accounts after that accident are deplorable. Inexcusable. God will judge that action.

We are in the midst of seeing a media gone wild with this death. It will be come too much to bear for many of us. We can only thank God that he has given us the wisdom to see the truth and know it.

I heard Obama is going to give the eulogy. Perhaps there is justice after all.
