Troops challenging the legitimacy of President Barack Obama as commander-in-chief -- including at least one who is fighting deployment -- should take heed: Gunnery Sgt. Hartman wants to know your "major malfunction."

R. Lee Ermey, the Marine-turned-actor whose role as drill instructor Gunny Hartman in the late Stanley Kubrick's "Full Metal Jacket" has all but placed the Vietnam veteran in the pantheon of Marine heroes alongside "Chesty" Puller, Smedley Butler and Dan Daly, isn't buying anyone's political objector status.

"I haven't heard about those guys," Ermey told Military.com during an Aug. 21 interview. "If I do run across them though, trust me, I'll square them away."

What is factual is that the Founders and authors of the 14th did not intend for anyone with split loyalties or split obligations to qualify for president.

Ah, well then. Problem solved. The only person Ubama is loyal to is himself so that whole thing about split loyalties is nothing to worry about.

My father wasn't naturalized until after I was born. I'm also not qualified to debate the finer points of "Natural Born". There have been so many arguments here that I walk away confused from some of them.

One of the definitions I've seen here says that "Natural Born" means born on US soil of two natural born citizens. By that definition I'm not eligible.

There is video of his Kenyan grandmother announcing how proud she was when she witnessed his birth in a hospital in Mombasa. You think she was making that up? Sounds pretty convincing to me. The only reason Hawaii would issue a COLB at that time was if the child wasn’t born in a hospital (ie, born at home or out of state). Yet he claims he was born in a hospital in Hawaii.

None of this really matters any way. No agency of government is going to remove him just because he isn't constitutionally eligible. The point should be aimed at the States passing laws that keep him or anyone else from being on their ballots in the future if that person doesn’t produce an official long form BC showing he was born in the U.S.
