It’s not just folks like your mom. I’m 52 and my young adult sons have not just fallen for Obama’s B.S., they hold such animosity towards anything Republican (they think Clinton was a god and hate us for ‘stealing’ the election from Gore) that, when I point out just where Obama is headed they are all for it...saying capitalism doesn’t work, the constitution is outdated, everyone should have healthcare...blah, blah, blah. I think it’s a generational/age thing. I think they’re naive and they think I’m just getting to old to adapt to needed change. Then, there’s my sister, about 5 years older who whole heartedly supported the Vietnam anti-war movement, SDS, etc. Her husband (afl/cio) is VERY active in the single-payer movement. There is nothing about any of their mindset that I can comprehend.

I did notice shorter and fewer ads during the commercial break and some repeated over and over...especially that one about buying gold.
I can hardly believe the White House actually CALLED during his show yesterday to b*tch about the use of the word “czar”.
I also am wondering what it was he said he found out about ‘free speech’ that he’s suppose to discuss tomorrow.
Anyway...it was a great show! Glenn is really going out on a limb, so to speak, and for the most part, alone, to expose this Administration. IMO, we really need to go out of our way, in any way we can, to express our support.

Something else Glenn mentioned, at the very beginning of the show...was about how GWBush REFUSED to secure our borders...and he is going to tie that in to where he sees the country headed....or something like that...I taped it, going to watch it again...am curious how the dots will be connected! And I suspect that at some point much of anything having to do with $$$ will lead to Soros.

I’m having it recorded while at work; it comes on at 4:00 CDT and I’m miles away. Beck is doing incredibly important work; he’s actually doing investigative reporting; what a refreshing change. I put other co-workers onto the program yesterday after having been fortunate to have seen Beck discuss this series this weekend. It’s a shame there’s no way to let Beck know how much I appreciate his hard work, diligence and courage in this matter of investigative journalism that he’s doing. I’d suggest we all offer prayers for his well being; he’s making enemies of some very powerful, evil people.
He has a website. Maybe there’s a contact spot on it. I haven’t checked it out, but think I will after today’s session with Rush Limbaugh on FRee Speech.
Here’s what I found on the Fox news site.The first link contains an index on the right hand side to Glenn’s Blog postings. The video’s are apparently made available on a “next day” basis, i.e. last nights’ video will be added sometime this afternoon and it’s entitled, “All the President’s Men”. The second link is to the video posting to Beck’s blog from his Monday evening show which was part 1 of this 5 part series of investigative reports into the people with whom Obama has surrounded himself, their ideological backgrounds, political affiliations and the various “Boards” that they presently serve on from which they write the legislation that Congress is passing.
Based upon my research, this is the only in-depth investigation into the people that advise Obama on these matters.
I’ve noted that the 8/24 presentation became available around 4:00 p.m. our time yesterday so it’s possible that the video for last nights’ show will be available late this afternoon. When you go to the index and click on yesterday’s posting, text is available but the video portion isn’t there yet.
Please share this with concerned friends, family etc. such that they might be better informed. On this evening’s show, Limbaugh will be a guest and they’ll be discussing how Obama’s operatives intend to wire around the repeal of the Fairness Doctrine via the “Diversity” Czar to shut down talk radio and non-government controlled news outlets such as Fox News.

There are so many citizens getting involved in civic affairs and a wealth of information streaming in. When I get emails making claims or supposedly breaking news, I have to pause and try to check the sources, or go to a fact checker site. You just type in the info in a question format. The best known are:

www.ask.com
I feel that I have detected a bias in snopes especially. While checking snopes for the basis of quotes made by President Obama, snopes gave approximately a paragraph to explain each sentence that was uttered by Obama. Words mean things !! It should not take a paragraph to explain a simple quote.
Therefore I feel that there is a leftist bias to these sites. However, I have to add, that when I have checked some of the outlandish emails that I have received, the fact checking sites have saved me a lot of the embarrassment of sending on inaccurate information. So I send this email FYI...

Snopes Exposed
For the past few years www.snopes.com has positioned itself, or others have labeled it, as the ‘tell all final word’ on any comment, claim and email.
But for several years people tried to find out who exactly was behind snopes.com . Only recently did Wikipedia get to the bottom of it - kinda makes you wonder what they were hiding. Well, finally we know. It is run by a husband and wife team - that’s right, no big office of investigators and researchers, no team of lawyers. t’s just a mom-and-pop operation that began as a hobby.
David and Barbara Mikkelson in the San Fernando Valley of California started the website about 13 years ago - and they have no formal background or experience in investigative research. After a few years it gained popularity believing it to be unbiased and neutral, but over the past couple of years people started asking questions who was behind it and did they have a selfish motivation? The reason for the questions - or skepticisms - is a result of snopes.com claiming to have the bottom line facts to certain questions or issue when in fact they have been proven wrong. Also, there were criticisms the Mikkelsons were not really investigating and getting to the ‘true’ bottom of various issues. I can personally vouch for that complaint.
A few months ago, when my State Farm agent Bud Gregg in Mandeville hoisted a political sign referencing Barack Obama and made a big splash across the internet, supposedly the Mikkelson’s claim to have researched this issue before posting their findings on snopes.com . In their statement they claimed the corporate office of State Farm pressured Gregg into taking down the sign, when in fact nothing of the sort ‘ever’ took place.
I personally contacted David Mikkelson (and he replied back to me) thinking he would want to get to the bottom of this and I gave him Bud Gregg’s contact phone numbers - and Bud was going to give him phone numbers to the big execs at State Farm in Illinois who would have been willing to speak with him about it. He never called Bud. In fact, I learned from Bud Gregg no one from snopes.com ever contaced anyone with State Farm. Yet, snopes.com issued a statement as the ‘final factual word’ on the issue as if they did all their homework and got to the bottom of things - not!
Then it has been learned the Mikkelson’s are a very Democratic (party) and extremely liberal. As we all now know from this presidential election, liberals have a purpose agenda to discredit anything that appears to be conservative. There has been much criticism lately over the internet with people pointing out the Mikkelson’s liberalism revealing itself in their website findings. Gee, what a shock?
So, I say this now to everyone who goes to www.snopes.com to get what they think to be the bottom line facts...’proceed with caution.’ Take what it says at face value and nothing more. Use it only to lead you to their references where you can link to and read the sources for yourself. Plus, you can always google a subject and do the research yourself. It now seems apparent that’s all the Mikkelson’s do. After all, I can personally vouch from my own experience for their ‘not fully’ looking into things.
