I know....I cant talk to democrats about anything...they just start screaming “bush is stupid” over and over...of course now i tell them “Obama is dumber than bush” so they get real mad.

Thanks, Carl — now, what can you tell us about what kind of influence Jones will have in the Obama administration, and what his actual duties will be? “Environmental and urban policy post”? What department is that in, please?
What Van Jones is writing about is of course exactly what we need: an all-hands-on-deck, shotgun approach to changing our economy from one based on exploitation of people and resources (READ CAPITALISM<—added by me) to one based on broad mutual self-interests and conservation of both people and resourdces (READ COMMUNISM<—added by me). But depending on exactly what he’s been appointed to do, and on what terms, such an appointment could just be a nice way of wrapping him up in red tape and smarm.

He’s to be “special adviser for green jobs, enterprise and innovation”, but exactly what the title for that is, and in what Dept, I’m not sure. One report made him under Solis in Labor. Most reports said he focus would be ‘distressed areas.’
I’d give him and Obama the benefit of the doubt here. Their message has been fairly clear on this matter.
We know there’s a few billion allocated to this in the Recovery Act, so there’s some real money behind it.
I’m of the option, though, that a lot depends on what the base is organized to demand. If we don’t organize it, too many of the ‘usual suspects’ will get the loot.
It’s like when we install computer networks. You can have terrific routers and switches, but if the last piece of cable connecting your machine to the net is crappy, you’ll get crappy performance no matter how good the rest is.
This is still government in capitalist America. We have a foothold to do something decent, and move to something better. So let’s get it on, and if it turns out crappy, let’s make sure it’s not because we didn’t rise to the occasion at the base. Like the man says, change comes from below.

I whole-heartedly concur with you here.(and maybe elsewhere, too. LOL)
Liberty-loving, community-based orgs certainly can apply for that grant money.
And who knows...if enough normal organizations apply, we could clog the system.
The least that would happen is some good, old-fashioned competition for taxpayer funds.
Could become a two-fer.
I’m starting to believe that too. I never missed Brit Hume and Special Report, but now it is Glenn Beck that I never miss.
But when you distill it to it's main component you find the writer really has nothing to counter that which he is attacking - all he really says is “shut up”.
So he's just another loser, after all.
Maybe Limbaugh heard from too many Christians about the moniker he was using for Obortion Obama.

I would hope the FBI still would have the cajones to do the right thing but my fear is that they are as far gone as the rest of DC....I hope that they restore my faith in the triumph of good vs evil.
I have been putting some of Glenn’s shows on dvd’s to allow a fellow co-worker to watch who doesn’t have cable/sattelite...I think I’ll have to make a few extra copies of this weeks series! Glenn’s blowing the lid off of the whole Obamunism movement!
