This, GM/Chrysler, Obamacare, and the “stimulus” spending are designed to lock in and expand the dem voting base while destroying the rest of us.

Well if that’s the average pay, then more than half federal government employees are working at a GS13 or higher.....which is total BS. Something doesn’t sound right here.

This is a great example and case study of how libs and the bureaucracies they give rise to work. The line many years ago was that because government jobs didn’t pay as well as private sector jobs you had to give them better benefits. At first it was job security, they said if we can’t match private sector pay at least we can give them job security. Along came the Civil Service Board. The it was was fringe benefits like vacation time or maybe health care. But after a while every benefit they enjoyed, paid holidays including their birthday, etc. had maxed out, better than anything the private sector offered. So then they set their sights on pay. Now, 50 or 60 years later you have a class slopping at the public trough who do less work and get more pay and benefits than anything the private sector has to offer with the exception of a very few in the upper level management.

And not only do they cost more per employee, there are more and more of them slopping at the public trough.

Add to the Civil Service benefits those that come with unions and you have a perfecta, paid for by those of use who can only dream of having such a job someday.

I know there are civil servants who work hard and care about their job and the people they serve, but they are the proverbial exception, not the rule.
