Liberals attack Whole Foods

As a leftist up until last year, I know what liberals are good at: emotion and righteous indignation. And they're experts at channeling that fury into concrete action. So Moveon.org and other far left groups are e mailing and twittering and Facebooking like crazy to mobilize the troops into doing whatever they dictate.
Their tactics can be so cruel and chilling, that those of us with a conscience can be left hanging in the dust. Meanwhile, a la Saul Alinsky, the Left isolates, demonizes and destroys their "enemies," that is anyone who disagrees with them.
When a person or company is the next target for Liberal Fascism, my plan is to contact the business and offer unconditional support and encourage my new friends to do ths same. I already did this when I read of a boycott of Israeli products at Trader Joe's. I marched in there, purchased some "Israeli Cous Cous" (pretty good, actually), and told the store manager why I was buying it.
Case in point: The current boycott of Whole Foods because John Mackey, the CEO, has his own opinions about health care and expressed these in the
Wall Street Journal.
The result: a nation wide, well publicized campaign of nasty phone calls and e mails to local stores. Ironically, if you've ever been in a Whole Foods, you know that 99.9% of the employees are mega Obama fans. And when Obama was campaigning in Iowa, didn't he wax rhapsodic about the arugula there? (He's such a man of the people.)
When a person or company is the next target for Liberal Fascism, I suggest that we get organized ourselves. Contact the business and offer unconditional support. This is a win win for several reasons.
First, it shows the company that there are many people who agree with them. I called my local Whole Foods and spoke to the manager and said, "I am calling to express my complete support for Whole Foods. I am appalled at what the Left is doing by demonizing anyone who disagrees with them. I've always been a liberal but they are going too far. I will shop at Whole Foods even more and encourage all my friends to do the same."
There were several seconds of silence. I actually thought we had gotten disconnected. Finally, the manager spoke in a stunned voice, "I thought when you started that you'd be another person attacking me. I am so grateful for your support."
Given that she was in a vulnerable place (being yelled at all week), I spent a couple of minutes doing some consciousness raising. "I'm in my 50's and liberalism has changed so much since I was young. It used to be about free speech and now it's about controlling speech."
I was pleased when she agreed.
I didn't say anything negative about Obama which might have made her defensive. I also chose not to identify myself as a conservative (because I was concerned about being immediately discredited as someone who doesn't shop there anyway -- although my credit card bills tell a different tale).
There's that old joke: The definition of a conservative is a liberal who's been mugged. (Unfortunately, I can relate to that one.) A new version: The definition of a conservative is a liberal who's been Alinsky-busted.
Given that the Left eats their own, that offers the possibility of many more conservatives!
If you want to support Whole Foods, here are some ideas.
1. Contact your local store manager and express your support. If you're shopping there, let the Obama lovers who work there know you are concerned with extreme far Left tactics.
2. E mail Whole Foods at wholefoods.com.
4. Leave a message at corporate headquarters: 512 477 5566.
5. Fax them at 512 482 7000.
Lastly, the other great reason for doing things like this is that it feels good! By expressing my opinion, I felt like I was doing something, and was a great antidote for powerlessness.
And anyway I really do love the salad bar there (not arugula though).

Always wanted to shop there. But they’re 30 or 40 miles away. Guess I’m going to have to make a special trip.

I posted my support to John Mackey on the whole Foods website thinking that they didn’t have a presence in my area. Just now I googled them and discovered that they have a store about 30 miles from me. I am going to work it into my travel plans to be visiting and shopping there.
If a lib says don’t do it you know that I’ll be there!

I think there should just be a template made with the phrase, "LIBERALS ATTACK _______________".
What is true, but has never been said in so many words is, Liberals love to BITCH. They bitch about everything...it's like attending Q&A Day the National Institute of Bitching.
The best defense is for every individual to possess one simple thing....PRINCIPLES.
I know that 96.3% of statistics are made up on the spot, but with any IQ at all, even ACORN members should see that 99.99% of liberals bitching is pure B.S.
They are the victims of poor parenting and social entitlement programs who are so...so..."spoiled' (for lack of a better word) that they feel entitled and demand constant attention...not unlike our current pres_ent zer0.
Three rules should apply to anything uttered, groaned, bitched, written, said, or implied by a liberal:
(1) Consider the source;
(2) Consider their vast history of lies and "misspeaks"; (2) If the truth would do liberals any good...they would use it.
There is another thing to bear in mind, when a liberal speaks...s/he wants something. It may be your vote, your money, your freedom, or that new flat-screen TV you just bought...but they invaribly want somthing...and FREE.
And lastly, when it comes to liberals, forget all the B.S. about "global warming", "green", the "environment", "cap & trade", "healthcare", "stimulus", etc...just FOLLOW THE MONEY and/or quest for POWER, and you'll find all the answers.
Democrats never do anything FOR the "American people"...they do it for their select GROUP of people, campaign benefactors, and themselves.
I've been following politics for over 40 years now...and the evidence I've seen bears true witness to the aforesaid statements. Check it out.

Other than the clientele, there is nothing liberal about Whole Foods. Mackey is a libertarian, philosophically and he runs the company accordingly. I have been happy to shop there and will continue to. It’s great, high quality food and a wide variety of it.

I agree completely. It’s the best market in town, although far from the cheapest! (There’s a reason it’s called “Whole Paycheck”.) Still, we shop there weekly, and we’re tragically middle-class. The quality of produce and other foods there is superb, and often grown locally, ensuring maximum freshness. Sure, the parking lot is encrusted with Obama-stickered luxury cars, but we crunchy cons in our used wheels have a presence, too. It’s a great place to shop.

a clear case of a bear fouling its own den What it means is that the nationalization of health care is more important to them than everything else combined. "By whatever means necessary" is their terminology.
This is exactly why we must stop it at all costs-and by whatever means necessary.

Mackey is far from being one of their own. He is a Libertarian, who happens to own a business that Liberals are attracted to. And he has made a fortune at it. They should of boycotted him long ago for being a capitalist.

"As a leftist up until last year.." Such qualifications are usually enough for me to continue reading only for the purpose of fine tuning a hate filled reply. But you talked me out of it. Good stuff on every level. Soo.. you were never a Lib. Nope. Your claim is stagecraft, just as you presented to the store mgr. Very good. I love deceit. Im going to do the things you suggest.

I have an idea that Hussein’s select group of people are blacks. I fully expect him to come up with some program to “redistribute wealth” as some form of reparations. His socialism takes the form of the “black liberation theology” variety. I always have the feeling that he’s standing back snickering at what buffoons Biden and Gibbs are.
