I have lost my faith in Newt. I admired him for the "Contract With America", but now he's more about going along to get along. I've lost my respect for him. He talks the talk on O'Reilly and Hannity, but then shakes hands with the enemies of our Constitutional Republic.
Something about politics and power that makes people discard their core beliefs. That's why I am such an advocate for TERM LIMITS on all government bodies, including down to the municipality level.
Ask 'em if they know why Saudi Arabia doesn't have a race problem.
(Answer: Because, unlike Americans, the muslim Saudis preferred their slaves castrated)...

Yeah Newt could have PAIRED UP with Cosby! Isn’t he a teacher?
Bill Cosby has a Ph.D in Physical Education. And yes, if Newt or any Constitutional and/or self-reliance advocate wanted to "pair up" with anyone, Cosby would be a great choice. However, I don't believe Cosby wants to get that involved. He is a decent self-made man who is most likely sick of the whole situation and wants to live his life out in peace with his family. My guess.
Too bad. Being an extremely popular and respected black entertainer, he could make a difference. But then, if he got further involved in politics, I'm sure the leftists would paint him as an "Uncle Tom", as they do to any rational responsible black man.
So, I'm okay with letting him live his life without the BS of racial politics. I'm just glad he speaks the truth now and again. Bless the man and his family.
Yes, you are right he is a decent man. There is always Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Jesse Peterson...there were soooo many others that Newt could have paired up with!! Geesh!
Peterson joined us in an anti-clinton demonstration on the streets of Los Angeles way back in 1998. He has participated in many other events since then. The man is a Patriot, and writes from his heart as man, and not as a person with darker pigment, which so many are still hung up on. And that's why I consider those "many" to be the true racists. We should throw that back in their face every time they bring race into any issue.
BTW, I'm not a newbie here. I've been around since Spring of 1998, but don't post that often. I was the Central Coordinator for the first Free Republic mass event. It was called the "March For Justice". Objective: Impeach Bill Clinton. Ancient history.

What ever happened to the freeper named Rejoice? I think she was at the March for Justice.
I have no idea where she is or what she is doing. She was a very friendly nice lady of color, right? She gave a speech on the stage if I remember correctly. But then I was all over the place trying to coordinate everything and I missed some of the speeches. But I do remember her being on the speaker itinerary. I heard later that she gave a very inspiring speech.
Apparently you were there or maybe saw it on CSPAN? It was a very good day...one of the best in my life. I was so proud of so many who traveled so far and just to be in their presence.
NOW, Patriots are reacting and coming out in numbers we could only dream of in the clinton years. Looks like more than us few thousand at the above event are multiplied by the 100's. Very exciting.

But I *suspect* it was related to hearings that might have been related to the repeal of Glass Steagal. At the time, Citi [bank] was trying to buy or merge with Solomon Smith Barney [brokerage] and there were concerns as to potential Glass-Steagal violations. Waters was yakking about this in typical goofball fashion, making some kind of overarching statement. Meanwhile, with every sentence she revealed more and more how very little she understood the ramifications, but was making it clear she wuz for da peeple because her peepelz checking account fees would rise. The last sentence in her libretto was something like “....is this good for the American people or is this good for Solomon Smith Barney Frank?
The 2-3 people behind her all suffered neck whiplash and I practically fell out of my chair laughing.
