EDINBURGH, Scotland Scotland freed the terminally ill Lockerbie bomber on compassionate grounds Thursday, allowing him to die at home in Libya despite American protests that mercy should not be shown to the man responsible for the deaths of 270 people.
Justice Secretary Kenny MacAskill said Abdel Baset al-Megrahi's condition had deteriorated from prostate cancer. Al-Megrahi had only served some eight years of a life sentence, but MacAskill said he was bound by Scottish values to release him.

I remember seeing a news report in the UK on an anniversary of the Lockerbie Disaster. A farmer in the area recalled that tragic night. He found a row of 3 seats on his land. In them, dead, were the bodies of 3 girls strapped in......clutching each other tightly.....and all had their fingers still crossed for ‘good luck’.
I will NEVER forget that. Never.

Pennsylvania voters please note that Arlen Specter would have us all governed by Scottish Law....

Sure hope those radioactive seeds used in his prostate treatment can be homed-in on by a Predator drone. One missile cleans out the nest. If Ghadaffi is close by, oh well, collateral damage is a bitch

Briton, believe me we know there is a difference between the government and the people they are suppose to represent.
We are learning that lesson first hand right now.

THIS will show him. < /sarc >
Isn’t the talk from the Left that executing them or keeping them in prison all their life really is what they want?
That denying them martyrdom “shows them”?
Give them a bible while in prison. THAT would show them. How many Islamic terrorists never had a freedom of choice when it came to religion in the first place?
We never should have been forcing korans on people who had their first opportunity to experience a true freedom of religion.

Go American. Jack gives compassion the boot and kicks Irish and Scottish tale.

As Europe of the UK cater more and more to inevitable dhimmi futures, we’ll see lots more of these outrages in the future.
Mark Steyn might almost have predicted this in his book “America Alone.”

That their daughters will be last to be sold into slavery, that their old will be compassionately beheaded, that their pets will be mercifully chopped to pieces, and their sons the last to be raped.

We are ticking down the days until one of our enemies decides that since Obama is a gutless, racist, empty suit, it’s time to make a run at the U.S. They know he will never use our military to defend the country.

Al-Megrahi had only served some eight years of a life sentence..I always thought life sentence meant you died in prison...

Even in the US, a life sentence is considered something like 20 years. That is why in so many of the horrible cases they are sentenced to mutiple life sentences.
