Chicago-based financial analyst Janet Tavakoli writes that civil unrest is escalating in the great city of Chicago, as the downturn, and reckless spending, squeeze the city budget.
Janet sends along this double action clip. First it shows a gang fight in the middle of a street, followed by angry residents chasing the local alderman, Helen Shiller, down the street. They chase her down the street yelling, "Run Helen run!"... In the upscale Lincoln Park area, just a little further south of [the above] unrest, men alone at night have been accosted by groups of three to six men and severely beaten, robbed, and hospitalized this summer...

We need another MILLION MAN MARCH
No worries.
They are just practicing for the 2016 Olympics . . .
Riots will increase in frequency and intensity over the balance of this summer. The MSM may not report them. However, the followers sites like this one will report them. If the solid citizens that are currently confronting the “pols” continues to increase in anger then Social War is highly likely during the excitement generated by the electoral farce of 2010. By the way there will be no Republican gains in the 2010 elections as they will be stolen.
Anyway, obama's chicago seems to be baring its rotted teeth.
“Im actually surprised that U.S. cities havent experienced more riots this summer...”
....I expect it will be next summer if the economy doesn’t improve....all it will take is an incident i.e. Rodney King...53 people died in that one.
Remember: When seconds count, the police are just minutes (?) away.
It's a QUAGMIRE! Let's pull out...
Wow! I didn’t think Atlanta was all that bad, but if this makes the news in Chicago we have some serious issues in this town. I wish I lived in a place were non fatal crimes made the news.
“Can you imagine what’s going to happen in these big cities next summer as the recession intensifies?”
As long as the violence is contained within the cities, it’s hard for me to care. Those stupid-azzed people who repeatedly elect and re-elect corrupt democrats to run things deserve exactly the government they get.
There are good reasons NOT to exist like sardines in crime factories such as American cities. This is just one of them.
More gun control will help! /libthink
Day-um, those East Coast cities are rough, as is Chicago. The account shocked me.
I remember that delightful “international symbol” from the LA Olympics in ‘84:
Shoot Loot & Scoot.
I live in Chicago and there will probably be no riots during the balance of the summer as you indicated. Weather hasn’t been too conducive to that behacior.
During the last Cinco de Mayo and Independence Day celebrations, overall fireworks were somewhat muted compared to past years. The economy probably has something to do with it.
Most of the action shown in the video takes place in Uptown, which has been notorious for gang activity for years. The more properous neighborhoods of Lakeview and Lincoln Park have only recently been hit by roaming gangs. The punks are behaving as any thinking person would expect - going to where the “best” victims are.
Helen’s an old-time commie. Good to see her community turn on her.
Very much so. They live in the Hyde Park area of the near south side close to the University of Chicago where there are quite a few upscale single family residences that many of us couldn't afford, all mostly grouped into an evil little hive of far leftists and communists.
Thankfully, I live in a small town in which the Obama-voter population is appx. 1/2 of 1%. There has been one murder in the past three years. Should the Obama-induced recession become worse, crime such as that experienced in Chicago will not be a problem.
Wright just got a huge new house in the ‘burbs.
I don’t think riots will only be in Chicago.
And with the wholesale killing in Chicago every weekend, fatman DailyDouble wants the olympics. He wants his statue to be built next to Obeeee's.
I live his this crap city and wish I could get out. In fact, wish I could get out this socialist country.
