While a poll from Rasmussen Reports last week showed Republican former Congressman Pat Toomey beating Democratic Senator Arlen Specter in a reelection match-up, a poll for a leftist Web site shows different findings.
The far-left Daily Kos commissioned a Research 2000 poll which has Mr. Specter beating Mr. Toomey 45 percent to 40 percent. It also shows Mr. Specter beating U.S. Rep. Joe Sestak, D-7th, of Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties in a primary match-up with a margin of 48 percent to 33 percent.
In a potential Toomey-Sestak general-election contest, Mr. Sestak has a one-percent edge over Mr. Toomey, the Research 2000 poll indicates.
Last Thursday, the widely respected Rasmussen poll had Mr. Toomey beating Arlen Specter 48 percent to 36 percent.

Frankly no one should believe this poll any more than if FreeRepublic commissioned one that showed Toomey up 30 pts. When partisan groups comission polls, they might get the result that they want to hear but it is not always the truth.
They do smoke a lot of weed (et al) over there.
Arlen will use this poll to justify even more arrogance, on his part.

And when Cornyn supported Spector, I sent Cornyn a piece of my outraged mind...a few days or a week later, Spector jumps ship. Not even a sputter from Cornyn. Meanwhile, Cornyn sits on the Ethics[sic] Committee and gives Brothers Dodd and Conrad passes. What a bunch of whores.
Research 2000 is COMPLETELY discredited, and is only good for Push-polling for Democrats.
They maintain that Obama’s Approval has been holding at 60% for weeks, but they get there by saying his approval in the Northeast US is 85%(!!!!!)
Here’s the “Actual” (ie. made up) KOS numbers today:
NORTHEAST 85 10 5
SOUTH 32 64 4
MIDWEST 67 29 4
WEST 65 32 3
and you’ll notice they don’t even bother to look at the underlying numbers???

Actually, Research 2000 is a very good private polling company with very accurate results in 2008 election polling. I would not blow them off just because they took Daily Kos money. One would need to see the questions asked and internals of the poll before making a final judgement.
