In what is shaping up to be one of the more effective boycott campaigns in years, advertisers are abandoning the "Glenn Beck" show on Fox News following the host's incendiary comments that President Barack Obama is a "racist" and has a "deep-seated hatred for white people."
Among the advertisers to pull spots from the popular cable talk show are Geico, owned by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway /quotes/comstock/13*!brk.a (BRK .A 99,275, +275.00, +0.28%) /quotes/comstock/13*!brk.b (BRK .B 3,235, +5.20, +0.16%) ; Procter & Gamble /quotes/comstock/13*!pg/quotes/nls/pg (PG 52.49, +0.28, +0.54%) ; Sargento Cheese; and Progressive Insurance /quotes/comstock/13*!pgr/quotes/nls/pgr (PGR 16.01, -0.08, -0.50%) , according to the companies and Color of Change, one group that is organizing a campaign against the program....
Adding fuel to the fire is Donny Deutsch, a TV personality and head of the ad agency Deutsch Inc., which is part of the Interpublic Group /quotes/comstock/13*!ipg/quotes/nls/ipg (IPG 5.95, +0.02, +0.34%) . He, too, called for a boycott of Beck's show, saying on the air on the business-news channel CNBC that "this has to stop," and the "only way this stops" is if sponsors pull their support....

I sent Glenn and his Executive Producer each an e mail requesting a constantly updated list of advertisers who cancel his show. I told them FReepers will follow up with e mails to the deadbeats. Do the same!
Beck should have replaced OReily MONTHS ago.
If I wanted “current affair” warmed over I would have watched that show way back then instead of the pathetic show Oreily puts on.
OReily thought he could immitate Rush and claim audience as a me too pretend conservative.
OReily is too NYC to be credible.
(Thanks for print the response letter) Would you believe this shi@. It is this controversy that has upped the ratings and so increases the attention to their business. What total fools. Just proves they are rotten liberals.
The other three networks combined have a lower rating than Beck. I’m sure they will try just about anything.
On a side note, my mother in law is apolitical and she watches Glenn Beck.
“sickoflibs” is a lightweight wuss who is likely a supporter of the opposition. So it’s no surprise he posted such a wussy comment, covering for Obama. Any white person with anything close to the racist friends and contacts Obama has, would be branded a racist before he even shows up for the job. Obama is a POS.
There are some others I use from time to time and they will be what I use from now on.
Obama is also so much of a puppet that one wonders if there is anything real between those big ears.
Journalism is dead.
Wonder how these two “insurance companies” will feel when Obama introduces government auto and home insurance programs?
Water buffalo cheese sounds exotic for a pizza. Does it freeze well?
Dean Wormer
The boycott is organized by Colors of Change, run by Obamaâs czar for green jobs, Van Jones.
Getting jobs and making a living by just being Black. Ain’t this a grand country.

So who’s advertising on Beck now.
This article was FOUR days ago, why repost it today? Nothing NEW here
Haven’t seen Murry Mom in a long time. How is she faring?
She really is annoying. The fact that I won’t be seeing her is a good reason to watch Beck. Do you think we could get the woman with the armpit hair blowing in the wind to boycott... anything I watch?
Go to his site and just watch highlights from the program.
They are NOT boycotting him over one comment.
Beck has been doing in-depth reporting on the ties between ACORN and other scary groups and the folks pulling Obama’s strings. He’s done programs on the backgrounds — socialist and communist — of administration officials. With facts.
Beck pokes fun at everything, including himself. He presents serious scary stuff, but mixes it with a goofball persona.
He’s in an afternoon timeslot, but his ratings are already above many in primetime. He’s nipping at the heels of Hannity and O’Reilly.
One of my favority Beck clips: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_D5x6EvegA
Of course he’s made people mad. The truth does that.
