I was making much the same point to a group of people yesterday. I called it the Rolling Stone worldview - based on a reality you get from smoking dope, listening to music and reading Rolling Stone magazine. Save the planet, make nice to people so they won’t be mean to us, get rid of oil in favor of windmills and solar panels, free health care for all, no more poor people, dialog on race, etc. etc.
Makes perfect sense.
If you’ve just smoked some killer weed, and are listening to Bob Marley.
If you’re in the work-a-day world trying to eke out a living?
Um, not so much.
